Amex Offers – July 2018
In a post titled “American Express Offers – A Great Way to Save” I wrote about the great savings opportunities that can be found if you are an American Express cardholder.
Here are a few recent additions to Amex Offers that could save you some cold, hard cash on your upcoming travel or purchases. Offers may be targeted, so check your account for availability.
And always be sure to read the fine print of the individual Offers to make sure you’re not missing some important requirements.
1-800-PetMeds – Spend $100 or more and get $30 back
Use your enrolled American Express card to spend $100 or more in one or more transactions at 1-800-PetMeds and get a one-time $30 statement credit.
1-800-PetMeds offers a wide variety of pet products ranging from prescription pet medications for which your vet must submit a prescription to non-prescription medications to pet supplies and even pet food. Which means if you own a pet, you should be able to easily take advantage of this money-saving Amex Offer.

The Offer expires 9/5/2018, so take this opportunity to stock up and save on items for your furry friend.
Etsy – Spend $40 or more and get $10 back
Get a one-time $10 statement credit when you use your enrolled card to spend $40 or more in one or more transactions online at etsy.com by 10/9/18.
You must purchase on etsy.com or via the Etsy app to get the credit, and the purchase must be made in U.S. dollars to qualify.
Not familiar with Etsy? Give the site a look, you never know what you’ll find.
California Pizza Kitchen – Spend $40 or more and get $10 back
Get a one-time $10 statement credit by using your enrolled Amex card to make a single purchase of $40+ in-restaurant or online at cpk.com by 9/16/18.
This is a pretty straightforward deal. Simply dine at your local CPK or order online for pick-up and save when you spend $40 or more. There are a number of location exclusions, however, so be sure to read the Offer Terms prior to using. And, gift card purchases online will not trigger the statement credit.
eBags – Spend $75 or more and get $15 back
Spend $75 or more in one or more transactions at eBags.com using your enrolled American Express card to pay and receive a $15 statement credit.
This is a great way to save on a new suitcase, backpack, handbag, or any number of travel accessories that can be found on eBags.com.
Offer expires 9/3/18.
Buy Buy Baby – Spend $25 or more and get $5 back
Get a one-time $5 statement credit when you use your Amex card to spend $25+ in one or more transactions in-store or online at buybuybaby.com by 9/3/18.
While not a huge amount of savings, any amount of savings when you’ve got a baby in the picture is welcomed. Grabbing this $5 statement credit couldn’t be any easier.
Hotel Deals
Kimpton Hotels – Spend $300 or more and get $60 back
Enjoy a $60 statement credit when you use your enrolled American Express card to spend $300 or more on room rate and room charges at Kimpton Hotels.
This Offer is good now through October 14, 2018.
Reservations must be made online at kimptonhotels.com, via the mobile app, or by calling 1-800-546-7866, and is valid at U.S. locations only.
Since Kimpton was purchased by IHG, it’s important to note this Offer is good ONLY at Kimpton properties and excludes other IHG hotel brands and Hotel Zamora.
Comfort Hotels – Spend $150 or more and get $30 back
Spend $150 or more on room rate and room charges at Comfort hotels using your enrolled card and get a one-time $30 statement credit.
The Offer is good now through 9/16/18.
As with most hotel Amex Offers, reservations must be made directly with the hotel’s website, in this case, newcomforthotels.com, or by using the mobile app. This Offer is only good at Comfort Inn, Comfort Suites, and Comfort Inn & Suites properties. All other Choice Hotels brands are excluded. See the full list of excluded properties in the Offer Terms section.
Hilton Hotels, Curio Collection & Canopy – Spend $250 or more and get $50 back
Get a one-time $50 statement credit when you use your enrolled Amex card to spend $250 or more on room rate and room charges at participating Hilton properties.
The Offer is valid now through 9/5/18.
You must make your reservations on the reservation system of the property at which you want to stay. You can use the Hilton Honors App to reserve at all three properties, or the websites listed below. Toll-free numbers can be found in the Offer Terms section.

Airfare
Qantas Airways – Spend $1,000 or more and get $200 back
Get a one-time $200 statement credit by using your enrolled Amex card to spend $1,000 or more on airfare only at qantas.com by 9/23/18.
Purchase must be made on Qantas’ U.S. website in U.S. dollars, and the flight must originate in the U.S.
This is a nice way to save on airfare to any of Qantas’ destinations in Australia. With roundtrip airfare from the U.S. normally pricing above $1,000, it’s an easy way to lower your airfare costs.
