Free Covid-19 Tests Are Once Again Being Offered By the U.S. Government

No matter your thoughts on the current state of Covid-19, your tax dollars have paid for these tests…might as well get your money’s worth.

U.S. residential households can order one set of 4 free at-home tests from USPS.com. 

Again, there’s a limit of one order per residential address.

Each order will include 4 individual rapid antigen COVID-19 tests.

Shipping of the free test kits will begin December 19, 2022. Delivery can be expected within a week or two of ordering.

Insurance Coverage of Tests

It does appear that private health insurance is still covering the cost of some Covid-19 tests as well. Check with your insurance provider to see if it is offering free test kits. Or, you may be able to get reimbursed for the purchase price of up to 8 at-home tests each month if your insurance company isn’t providing them directly.
