Earn Starbucks Rewards a Little Quicker with This Chase Pay Promo
Starbucks and Chase Pay have teamed once again to offer increased Starbucks Bonus Stars earning.
While the email announcing this promotion states it is exclusively for the person to whom the email was sent, it might be worth a try even if you didn’t receive an email invite.
Just be aware, this may be a targeted promotion, and your $25+ reload might get you nothing but an additional $25 in your Starbucks Rewards account.
If you’re a frequent Starbucks patron, not a big deal. You were likely going to reload your account no matter.
If, however, you’re considering this promotion as a way to just get a few free Starbucks drinks, it might not be worth it.
The Promotion
Now through July 4, each time you reload your Starbucks app with $25 or more using Chase Pay to pay, you’ll receive Bonus Stars on top of your regular earnings.
You can use this promo up to 3 times, each time earning Bonus Stars in the following amounts:
- First $25+ reload – 100 Bonus Stars
- Second $25+ reload – an additional 100 Bonus Stars
- Third $25+ reload – 125 Bonus Stars
If you reload your Starbucks account via the Starbucks app all three times, using Chase Pay to pay in-app, prior to July 4, you’ll earn a total of 325 Bonus Stars.
With a free drink (or food item) costing 125 Bonus Stars, you’ll have an easy 2 FREE drinks and be well on your way to a third, for simply using Chase Pay to reload your account.
And, if you haven’t achieved Gold Status with the Starbucks Rewards program, earning the 325 Bonus Stars will hit that mark, giving you Gold Status for the next year.

Chase Pay is Chase Bank’s mobile payment system. Anyone who holds a Chase credit card can use Chase Pay to pay for items where Chase Pay is accepted.
While locations are somewhat limited now, Starbucks is one of the locations where you can use Chase Pay to pay online or in-store via the Chase Pay app on your smartphone.
For this specific promotion, you’ll use the Chase Pay option within the Starbucks app to pay for your Starbucks account reload.

This is a decent promotion if you’re a Starbucks regular. You likely will load at least $75 or more between now and July 4 to get your daily Starbucks fix. So why not grab these Bonus Stars in the process?
This promotion doesn’t make sense if you’re not a regular Starbucks patron, though. No good reason to spend $75+ just to get a few free drinks.
