Earn Cash Back on Your Walmart Grocery Shopping with Dosh

You can now earn cash back on your Walmart grocery shopping with the cash back app, Dosh.

Rarely do you see an opportunity to earn cash back on an every day shopping category as groceries. Which makes this a surprising and worthwhile deal of which to take advantage.

Granted, it’s only 2% cash back, but that’s better than nothing.

And when coupled with a cash back earning credit card, especially cards that earn a bonus for groceries (some cards exclude Walmart), that’s a nice deal.

To take advantage of this cash back opportunity there are a few steps you have take.

  • You have to have a Dosh account set up
  • You have to utilize Walmart pickup and delivery…no in-store shopping
  • You have to click through the Walmart link on Dosh first to earn the cash back

If you’re willing to take those steps to save, here are the details for each.

Dosh

Dosh is an app-based platform that allows you to earn cash back on purchases at participating retailers, restaurants and even hotels.

To earn cash back – in this case, 2% on your Walmart Grocery pickup and delivery orders – simply download the Dosh app (free) to your smart device.

Then set up your account using your mobile number and add a credit card – or more than one – to your account.

There are different cash back earning offers on Dosh. Some earn cash back simply by using a linked credit card at a retailer, while others, like this Walmart Grocery deal, earn cash back only after clicking through the retailer’s link on the Dosh app first.

After a varying pending period, your earned cash back will be moved into your Dosh Wallet.

There is a minimum cash out amount of $25. Once you’ve reached $25 in your account, you can transfer it to your linked bank, Venmo or PayPal account.

Walmart Grocery – Pickup or Delivery

This Dosh 2% cash back deal will not work for Walmart grocery in-store purchases.

You must do your grocery shopping, and place your order, via the Walmart Grocery site/app.

And you must access the Walmart Grocery site/app via Dosh’s Walmart Grocery link first.

Just click the Walmart Grocery “Shop Now” button in Dosh and it’ll automatically open the app/site on your device. Then do your grocery shopping.

At checkout you can select a pickup time/location or have Walmart deliver your order (select locations/fee).

Pickup of your Walmart Grocery order is free, while delivery (if available) will likely have a fee attached.

I’ve used Walmart grocery pickup a number of times, and have been happy with the process. You can read more about it and my thoughts in the post “Walmart Grocery Online: Save $20 Off $50” and potentially save on your Walmart Grocery order, too, if the code is still valid.

The Dosh App First

The most important point to remember with earning the 2% cash back on your Walmart Grocery orders is that you must open the Dosh app first and then find the Walmart Grocery link, clicking through it to begin shopping.

Wrap Up

In a rare offering, Dosh, the app based cash back earning platform, is providing Walmart Grocery shoppers the opportunity to earn 2% cash back on their orders.

This is for Walmart Grocery pickup or delivery orders only…no in-store shopping.

And you must click through the Dosh app first, then the Walmart Grocery link, to register your shopping for the cash back deal.

Cash back opportunities on Dosh can come and go, so you might want to take advantage of this deal while it’s available. It very well could be removed in a week or two…or maybe it sticks around for the next few months…you just never know.

No matter, earning 2% cash back on your grocery shopping is a pretty good deal. Especially if you’ve linked a credit card to your Dosh account that earns bonus cash back (Citi Double Cash card or Chase Freedom Unlimited among others) on your everyday purchases.
