Amex Offers – October 2019
|Amex Offers for October 2019 have offered some nice savings and Membership Rewards points earning opportunities.
We’ve published some as stand-alone posts which can be found by scrolling back a ways.
Here are a few recent additions that may prove valuable to some Amex cardholders.
Offers may be targeted, so check your account for availability.
And always be sure to read the fine print of the individual Offers to make sure you’re not missing some important requirements.
Amex Offers Tip – If your Available Amex Offers are at 100, add some Offers to your card, even if you won’t be using them. Additional Offers should then populate in your Available list. It seems 100 Offers is a max that can be shown, opening spots will allow you access to more Offers that may be of interest.
Amex Offers
Marriott – Spend $300 or more and get $60 back
Get a one-time $60 credit by using your enrolled Amex card to spend a minimum of $300 on room rate or room charges at participating properties in the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio.
This Offer is only valid at participating Marriott Bonvoy properties in the U.S., U.S. territories, the Caribbean, Canada and Mexico.
Reservations must be made online at marriott.com, via the Marriott Bonvoy app or by calling 1-888-236-2427.
The following brands are excluded from this Offer: Marriott Vacation Club®, Edition®, St. Regis® Hotels, The Ritz-Carlton®, The Luxury Collection®, W Hotels®, JW Marriott® Hotels, Vistana™, Design Hotels™, Protea Hotels®, Homes & Villas by Marriott International, and Marriott Executive Apartments®.
And, the Offer Terms say gift card purchases are excluded. YMMV.
For those traveling for the upcoming holidays, this might be a way to save a bit on your hotel expenses.
This Offer expires 12/31/2019.
Home Improvement & Furnishing– Spend $75 or more and get $10 back
Use your enrolled American Express card to spend $75 or more in one or more transactions online at select U.S. home improvement and furnishing stores and get a $10 statement credit.
You can view all the eligible online retailers in the Offer Terms. A few include, homedepot.com, lowes.com, restorationhardware.com and wayfair.com for example.
There are a number of restrictions, so be sure to read the fine print prior to using this Offer.
But, for a regular Home Depot or Lowes purchase, it’s basically a 10%+ savings.
The Offer expires 12/31/19.
Bed Bath & Beyond – Spend $25 and get $5 back
This is the typical Bed, Bath & Beyond Amex Offer we see every so often. Spend $25 or more in one or more transactions in-store or online and get a $5 statement credit. There is also the same Offer currently available that provides 500 Membership Rewards points instead of the $5 credit.
Check the Offer Terms if your purchase may be somewhat out of the ordinary.
The Offer expires 11/16/2019.
Gas Stations – Get 15% back on purchases, up to $5
Get 15% back as a statement credit when you use your enrolled American Express card at a U.S. gas station with a limit of $5 in total statement credits.
Unlike other Offers, it appears any gas station purchase will trigger this credit…a candy bar, soda, or your typical fill-up.
Granted, a max of $5 isn’t huge, but, as with most deals, it’s better than nothing!
Add the Offer to your card, make your purchase(s) and save…then move your gas station spend to a more rewarding card if you have one.
The Offer expires 12/31/2019.
Air Canada – Spend $1,000 or more and get 20,000 Membership Rewards Points
Get 20,000 Membership Rewards points one-time by using your enrolled Amex card to spend a minimum of $1,000 in one or more transactions online at aircanada.com/us/en.
This Offer may have a select audience, but for those who can use it, that’s a really nice haul of American Express Membership Rewards points!
Definitely read the Offer Terms before using to ensure your purchases meet all the requirements.
This Offer expires 12/18/2019.
Cole Haan – Get 6 additional Membership Rewards points per dollar spent
Get 6 additional Membership Rewards points for each dollar spent on eligible purchases made using your enrolled Amex card in-store or online at colehaan.com by 1/30/2020. There is a max of 10,000 additional Membership Rewards points that can be earned with this Offer.
For most Amex cards, the extra earning would equate to 7 Membership Rewards points per dollar spent on Cole Haan purchases. Not bad if you’re into Cole Haan.
And, if someone you know prefers Cole Haan, this is a nice way to give yourself a gift while purchasing a gift.
There are also some Cole Haan Amex Offers out there that provide a specific dollar savings amount with a minimum spend.
If Cole Haan is on your shopping list, be sure to look for an Amex Offer to sweeten the purchase.

The links above are my referral links. I get a points bonus for each approved application. Right now the sign-up bonuses listed above are better than the public offers on the American Express site. That may change depending on when you read this post. Be sure to compare sign-up bonuses prior to applying to ensure you’re getting the best bonus possible.
If you do apply via these referral links, thank you.
