U.S. Travel Association’s Daily Getaways Travel Deals Week 4

Week 4 of the 2019 U.S. Travel Association’s Daily Getaways promotion begins Monday, May 27, 2019.

Let’s take a look at the travel deals that are available this upcoming week.

Daily Getaways Week Two Deals

Week 4 offers a variety of travel deals from hotel stays, Vegas packages and Universal Orlando experiences.

Daily Getaways Details

Monday

Six Caesar’s Entertainment packages are up for grabs for your next Vegas getaway. Here are the highlights – details can be found under each deal’s link on the Daily Getaways site.

  • Two nights at a Caesars Resort of your choice, $100 dining credit, $150 spa credit and more for $425.
  • Two nights at Nobu Hotel, dinner for two at Nobu Restaurant and Lounge, in-room tea service and more for $590.
  • Two nights at The LINQ Hotel, 2 tickets to the High Roller, 2 show tickets of choice, in-room champagne and more for $350.
  • Two nights at Caesars Palace, 2 Buffet of Buffets passes, 2 fitness center passes and roundtrip airport transfers for $450.
  • Two nights at The Cromwell, $100 dining credit at Giada’s Restaurant, access to Drais Beach Club/Night Club and more for $590.
  • Two nights at Planet Hollywood, $100 dining credit at Caesars restaurants, bars and lounges within the hotel, 2 show tickets to a Caesars show and more for $500.

If you’d like to enjoy your Caesars stay even more with Caesars Rewards Diamond status read Nick Reyes’ excellent outline for status matching over at Frequent Miler. You’ll need status with a hotel chain to make this happen – for those who aren’t road warriors, simply holding certain credit cards will do the trick.

Tuesday

Three Universal Orlando experiences are available on Tuesday.

  • A Universal Orlando Resort VIP Experience for $1,869.
  • 2-three day Universal Orlando tickets for $592.
  • A Universal Orlando Vacation Package for 4 for $2,738.

You can read the details associated with each on the Daily Deals page.

Wednesday

Herts Rental Car points.

I’m going to keep this one short and sweet. Don’t bother. More on principle than value. Hertz devalued its reward program significantly this past week, without notice. It’s doubtful that this upcoming week’s Daily Getaways deal had anything to do with it, but it sure doesn’t make the Hertz offers enticing. And just to send a message, take a pass.

Thursday

Marriott Bonvoy eGift Cards are available on Thursday.

You can choose from:

  • $100 Marriott eGift Card for $80.
  • $250 Marriott eGift Card for $200.
  • $500 Marriott eGift Card for $400.

This is a straight-up save 20% deal on your next Marriott stay/purchase(s). Buy a gift card and use it for a Marriott stay, or at a Marriott spa, retail store, golf or for food and beverage at a Marriott property.

Friday

Fairmont Hotel Stays are on Friday’s slate.

Four nights at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar, San Diego, California with breakfast for 2 people for $2,000.

Two night stay at the Fairmont Austin with breakfast for 2 people for $608.

You can break each deal up into individual night stays if you wish. For example, you could use the Fairmont Grand Del Mar stay as four different 1-nights stays, or two 2-night stays, etc. Same with the Austin deal. Read each Fairmont deal for details.

Quick Thoughts

Las Vegas packages are plentiful again this week. Although they are limited to Caesars properties. As I’ve mentioned with any hotel package on the Daily Getaways, check hotel pricing during a time period you’d like to travel and see if the packages are a deal. Most times they are, especially if dining/shows are included, but not always. If you can leverage Caesars Diamond status from the link provided, you can get even more value from these Caesars’ packages.

If Universal Orlando is on your visit list, the ticket and vacation package just might save a bit of money. The VIP experience is definitely for those who want an exclusive experience…it’s not necessarily a deal. But, if a splurge is something you want, go for it.

I’ve already said my piece on the Hertz offer.

Value can be gotten from the Marriott eGift Cards. As I said above, this is basically an opportunity to save 20% on your Marriott stay/purchases. It’s a nice way to save if you can get one, or more, of the eGift Cards.

As with any hotel deal, check the going rates for these Fairmont hotels for the dates you’d be interested in staying. If these deals will save you money, then get ready to buy.

That said, head to the Daily Getaways site, check pricing on individual deals and plan out your week 3 purchase strategy.

Daily Getaways Ins and Outs

All Daily Getaways deals go on sale at 1:00 pm ET the day they are listed.

Deal quantities are listed on an individual deal’s page on the Daily Getaways calendar. For popular deals, they will go quickly, so be ready to click the “Buy Now” button right at 1:00 pm.

Actually, if there is any deal in which you’re interested, just to be safe I’d be ready to buy right at 1:00 pm when the deal opens.

As with anything in life, the details matter, so for deals you’re interested in, be sure to look at the fine print…it’s listed on each individual deal at the Daily Getaways site.

That said, scope out the deals that interest you for this week, set your cell phone alarm for 12:50 pm the day of the deal and get ready to buy!

I’ll see you next weekend with my rundown of the upcoming week’s deals.

Until then, here’s hoping you get the travel deal(s) of your choice!
