The Grubhub and Shell Fuel Rewards Programs are Partnering to Help You Save A Little on Your Gasoline Purchases

The Grubhub and Shell Fuel Rewards programs are partnering to help you save on gasoline purchases when you order via Grubhub.

We recently wrote how the Fuel Rewards program is ending its partnership with the Dunkin’ Rewards program. It looks like Grubhub is taking its place.

But, unless you use Grubhub a lot, this partnership doesn’t appear to be as beneficial.

Grubhub / Fuel Rewards Partnership

To begin earning fuel discounts, you’ll need to connect your Fuel Rewards and Grubhub accounts.

For every $50 you spend via the Grubhub platform, you’ll earn a $0.05 per gallon discount on your Fuel Rewards account.

If you don’t already have a Grubhub account, this promotion might not be for you. But, if you want to give it a look, you can do so at this link.

For those who already have a Grubhub account, but not a Fuel Rewards account, you can use our Fuel Rewards referral link here to join (free, of course).

Then connect your Grubhub and Fuel Rewards accounts at this link.

Grubhub+ Earns Gold Status

Grubhub+ members, Grubhub’s membership program that provides $0 delivery fees, lower service fees, 5% back on pickup orders and occasional offers (for $9.99 per month), receive complimentary Fuel Rewards Gold status. Gold status provides $0.05 per gallon discounts on every fill up. The $0.05 per gallon discount is separate from what is earned when ordering via Grubhub. The complimentary Gold status with Fuel Rewards is good through December 31, 2024, as long as you maintain a Grubhub+ membership.

If you’re an Amazon Prime member, you can get Grubhub+ free at this link. Be sure and check how long the current free Grubhub+ period is, as it changes periodically.

Wrap Up

Once your Grubhub and Fuel Rewards accounts are linked, you’ll save 5 cents per gallon each time you fill up at participating Shell gas stations after spending $50 on Grubhub orders. And, Grubhub+ members will save 5 cents per gallon on every fill up, plus an additional 5 cents per gallon after hitting the Grubhub $50 spend requirement.

This partnership isn’t quite as good as the previous Dunkin’ Rewards’ where you’d earn 10 cents off per gallon after every 5th Dunkin’ beverage purchase. But, that partnership ends 12/31/23.

And, as far as being less lucrative, I guess we can blame it on inflation.

Will you be taking advantage of this Grubhub/Shell Fuel Rewards partnership?
