The Delta SkyMiles Shopping Portal’s Offering Bonus Miles After All

A few weeks ago we passed along the major airline shopping portal bonuses for upcoming purchases in the post “Earn Bonus Airline Miles on Your Back-to-School (or any) Shopping.” And then last week we added, “American Airlines is Now Offering Bonus Miles for Your Upcoming Online Purchases.”

All the major airlines…United, American, Southwest, Alaska…now were offering shopping portal bonuses except Delta.

To be honest, as the time ticked by, I kinda thought Delta was going to sit this back-to-school shopping period out when it came to bonus miles via its SkyMiles shopping portal.

And then today hits and the Delta SkyMiles Shopping portal is offering bonus miles for purchases made now through the 18th.

Better late than never, I guess.

Delta SkyMiles Shopping

The Delta SkyMiles Shopping portal is offering up to 1,000 bonus SkyMiles for purchases made between now, August 9, 2019, and August 18, 2019.

• Earn 500 bonus miles when you spend $150
• Earn 1,000 bonus miles when you spend $350

As with the other airline shopping portal bonuses, this one-time bonus will be based on cumulative qualifying purchases made during the Bonus Period (8/9 – 8/18).  Which means, you can make multiple purchases at multiple retailers on the SkyMiles Shopping portal and all of those purchases added together will determine which bonus miles tier you fall into.

And, according to the SkyMiles Semi-Annual Bonus page, you’ll earn the extra miles individual stores will be offering during this period, too.

Be sure to read the fine print associated with this bonus miles earning opportunity if you plan on buying gift cards or other cash equivalents…I’ll save you the trouble…they shouldn’t count toward spend thresholds.

And, shipping and tax charges will not count toward spend level, either.

But those qualifiers are the same for all bonus miles shopping portals’ deals.
