The Best Buy Amex Offer and Offers to Save on Your Holiday Travels

As expected, more Amex Offers have been loaded that just may be of interest to American Express cardholders.

Remember, these Offers may be targeted, meaning not everyone will have these Offers available to load to your Amex card(s).

However, if you don’t have a certain Offer in your list now, check back in a day or so as they sometimes populate at different times for different accounts/cardholders.

And, if you are showing 100 Offers available on a certain card, load a few to your card, whether you’re going to use them or not, opening additional Amex Offer slots.  It appears, 100 is the max number of Offers a specific card’s account can hold.  Reducing your available number should allow additional Amex Offers to populate.

Now on to the recent additions that may be of interest.

Best Buy

Best Buy – Spend $300 or more and get $30 back

Spend $300 or more on your enrolled American Express card in one or more transactions at Best Buy in-store or online and receive a $30 statement credit.  Offer expires December 31, 2018.

While e-gift card and corporate gift card purchases are excluded from this Offer, it does appear regular gift card purchases will trigger the $30 statement credit.  If you don’t have specific Best Buy purchases that will hit the $300 mark, you can supplement with gift cards, or make the full $300 spend gift cards, to get the $30 credit.  You can find a variety of retail, restaurant, travel, and gaming gift cards at bestbuy.com and a larger variety in most Best Buy stores.

Or, you can take advantage of upcoming Black Friday and other holiday sale opportunities and stack this Amex Offer to save even more.

This Best Buy Amex Offer is Enrollment Limited, so check your account(s) and add it to your card now since it’s likely to be very popular.  Once Amex’s specific number of Offers are loaded, the Best Buy Offer will be pulled from remaining accounts.

And remember, American Express has instituted a new Offers policy that restricts most Offers to one per card member Social Security number, or in their terms, “Limit 1 enrolled Card per Card Member across all American Express channels.”

Holiday Travel Offers

If you’ll be spending time in hotels this holiday season, here are a few Offers that can save on your hotel expenses.

DoubleTree by Hilton – Spend $225 or more and get $45 back

Use your enrolled American Express card to spend $225 or more on room rate and room charges from now through January 31, 2019, and receive a $45 statement credit.

Reservations must be made online at doubletree.com, via the Hilton Honors App or by calling 1-800-445-8667.

Check the Offer Terms to see list of excluded properties.  Gift cards are excluded from this Offer.

The Luxury Collection Hotels and Resorts – Spend $375 or more and get $75 back

Get a one-time $75 statement credit when your enrolled Amex card is used to spend a minimum of $375 on room rate and charges at a Luxury Collection hotel or resort by January 31, 2019.

The Luxury Collection is affiliated with Starwood/Marriott and includes a select number of properties in the U.S. and overseas.  You can view the properties at The Luxury Collection website.

To be sure, this Offer will have a limited audience.  However, for those who are looking for luxurious accomodations in the next few months, this Offer can save a bit on your stay.

Be sure to read the Offer Terms for exclusions and restrictions if you’re considering taking advantage.

AmexTravel.com – Spend $350 or more and get 6,000 Membership Rewards Points

This is a great opportunity to rack up a significant amount of Membership Rewards points.

Simply book a prepaid hotel via AmexTravel.com and spend $350 or more and you’ll get 6,000 Membership Rewards points, in addition to the points you’ll earn paying with your enrolled Amex card.  That’s a nice haul of points.

Of course, you’ll want to compare hotel pricing between the Amex Travel booking site and other booking options such as directly with the hotel chain.  If pricing is close, I’d definitely go with the Amex Travel option, earning the bonus Membership Rewards points in the process.

Be sure to read the fine print associated with this Offer so that you don’t miss any restrictions.

This Offer expires December 31, 2019.

I Like These Amex Offers, But I Don’t Have an American Express Card!

Any American Express card will give you access to Amex Offers.  And having more than one Amex card increases your opportunity for being targeted for certain Offers.

If you’re looking for your first Amex card, or want to grab an additional card to see even more Offers, then read our post “The Best American Express Cards for Accessing Amex Offers.”
