Save on Textbook Costs with These Deals

The only bigger financial scam than higher education itself is the amount charged for required textbooks.

Here are a few deals that can help…a little…with those outrageous textbook prices.

Amazon Textbooks

This deal is on NEW textbooks only.  Obviously, if you are able, more money can be saved by buying used textbooks.

But, if you have to purchase a new textbook, this deal just might save you a little cash.

The Deal:

Save 10% when you spend $100 or more on new textbooks that are sold by Amazon.com.

The bold wording is critical to getting the deal.  Textbooks sold by third-party sellers on Amazon will not get the discount.

The maximum benefit you can receive with this deal is $50 – which means $500 in new textbook purchases will max this deal.

Which in my (Text)book is a ridiculous amount to have to spend.  But, for some students, that’s not out of the norm.

This deal expires 11:59 p.m. (PT) September 29, 2018.

And to get the savings, you must use Promo Code: TEXT10 at checkout.

Savings Beagle is an Amazon affiliate receiving a small commission from purchases made via Amazon links on our site.  You don’t have to use our links to purchase, but we appreciate when you do.

Barnes & Noble Textbook Deal

Barnes & Noble is also offering a textbook savings deal, but this one includes used textbooks as well.

This deal provides $10 off every $100 in qualifying new or used textbook purchases, up to $500.

So, basically the same deal as Amazon – 10% off with a max of $50 – but framed in dollar terms rather than a percentage savings.

Depending on your total purchase amount, you might not save as much as you would with the Amazon deal, though.

To get this deal, you must purchase online at BN.com and use the Coupon Code: STUDIOUS at checkout.

The coupon is valid now through January 2, 2019, at 2:59 am Eastern Time.

You can read the full Terms and Conditions for this deal below. (click to enlarge)

Wrap Up

Here are two deals that may save you a few bucks on your outrageous textbook costs.

The Barnes & Noble deal is good on new and used textbooks, while the Amazon deal restricts the savings to new textbooks only.

The key, however, is finding the online retailer that sells the exact textbook(s) you need.

Only then can you compare pricing and hopefully save some money with one of these textbook deals.

Be sure to pass this post along to anyone who will be buying textbooks in the near future and may benefit from these deals.
