Rakuten/Ebates: Today Only 10% Back at Most Retailers

Rakuten (formerly known as Ebates) is offering 10% cash back at 250+ retailers today, Monday, September 23, 2019, only.

While Rakuten/Ebates has offered higher cash back earning opportunities at times, 10% cash back is pretty darn good.

If you have some online purchases to make, today is a great day to click “buy” and save some money in the process.

Most retailers will offer 10% cash back for purchases made today, with a few offering even more.  Be sure to scroll through Rakuten’s entire listing to see specific cash back rates for individual retailers.

Double Dip the Savings

Don’t forget about money-saving deals that may be available on the Chase and American Express cards you hold.

Both Chase Offers and Amex Offers provide cardholders savings on purchases at select retailers when the Offers are added to your card and that card is used to pay.

If an Offer is available for a retailer from whom you want to buy, and that retailer is getting 10% cash back today on Rakuten, that’s a huge double dip savings opportunity.

And all it takes is a few minutes to check for Offers, add that Offer to your card, click through your Rakuten account to the particular retailer and pay with the credit card to which you added the Offer.

If you’re new to Rakuten, the process for getting cash back is simple.

Sign up for a Rakuten account – limited information is needed, and can be completed in a few minutes or less.

Once your account is set up, simply make sure you’re signed in to your Rakuten account, click through the Rakuten site to your desired retailer (you’ll be automatically directed to the retailer’s website) and make your purchase.

By clicking through the Rakuten site first, your purchases will be registered with Rakuten, and the appropriate cash back based on the amount spent will be credited to your Rakuten account.

It may take a week or so for the credited amount to appear in your account.  And payments are made quarterly, so any cash back accrued during the current quarter will be held until payment is disbursed at Rakuten’s pre-determined payment times.
