New Members Can Grab a 90-Day Walmart+ Free Trial Membership with This Deal
|Walmart is offering new members to Walmart+ a 90-day free trial to see if the service is a good fit.
This is much better than the typical 15-day trial period.
And what’s even better, you can sign-up without adding a credit card to the account, keeping it from auto-renewing into a paid membership once the 90-day free trial ends.
If you do have a payment card on file, it will be charged the monthly membership fee of $12.95, on a recurring basis, until you cancel.
You can contact Customer Care or visit your account to cancel. Keep in mind, there are no refunds on any plan – monthly or annual – once a charge is made.
If you’re not familiar, here’s what you get with a Walmart+ membership.
WALMART+
A Walmart+ membership provides:
- Free delivery from your local store ($35 minimum purchase required)
- Free shipping with no minimum order purchase
- Access to the RX for less program
- Save five cents per gallon on fuel purchased at Walmart and Murphy stations as well as access to member prices at Sam’s Club stations.
- Scan & Go shopping in-store
A Walmart+ membership regularly prices at $98 per year (or $12.95 per month).

WALMART+ AMEX OFFER
If you’d rather not deal with the free trial and just become a Walmart+ member, there’s currently an American Express Offer that’ll save on your annual membership fee.
The Amex Offer provides a one-time $49 statement credit when the Amex card on which this Offer has been loaded is used to make a single Walmart+ annual membership purchase of $98 or more online at walmart.com/plus.
The Amex Offer expires 1/31/2022.
Wrap Up
If you can benefit from a Walmart+ membership, either the free 90-day trial or the Amex Offer if you just want to join are definitely good deals.
But, especially if you’re going to pay for a membership, really look at the offered benefits to ensure you’ll get your money’s worth.
If you won’t use the local delivery service – it’s not available in all locations – or the free shipping benefit (free shipping is already provided on orders $35 or more) then a membership, half off or not, may not be worth the bother.
