Move Your Chase Freedom Card Top of Wallet, Second Quarter Bonus Categories are Now Active
|Yesterday, April, 1, 2018, the Chase Freedom second quarter bonus categories became active.
As I mentioned in the post “Chase Freedom’s 2018 Second Quarter Bonus Categories Released,” the credit card’s earning opportunities this quarter are pretty good.
BONUS CATEGORIES
Freedom’s second quarter bonus categories include:
- Grocery Stores
- Chase Pay
- PayPal
All purchases made in these categories earn 5% cash back – or my favorite, 5 Ultimate Rewards points per dollar spent – on up to $1,500 in combined purchases.
Bonus earnings on the bonus categories will run through June 30, 2018.
If you haven’t activated your second quarter bonus categories yet, you can do so here.

Wrap Up
The Freedom card’s bonus categories are a great way to add to your stash of Ultimate Rewards points. Or earn cash back if that’s your thing.
And this quarter, with grocery stores and Chase Pay as categories that’ll earn big, it should be easy for most cardholders to max out the points or cash back earning.
