LG 75” 4K TV (75UJ6470) – SAVE $467 vs. BEST BUY’S “SALE” PRICE

This week we have a way for you to save $467 off from the same TV if purchasing from Best Buy. One big assumption is that you will be able to use a $300 gift card from Dell, so this won’t be as great of a deal if you won’t or can’t use their promo gift card within 90 days. However, even without factoring in the promo gift card, you can save an additional $167 vs. Best Buy by using Walmart to price match. The gift card will be a bonus for a cheap PC or some other electronics or game system purchase.

Follow these steps:

• Use a credit card that offers a “Price Match” feature (Discover, Chase Visa, AmEx, etc.)
• Purchase this TV from Dell: (see link below in price savings table)
• Wait until your purchase shows as a charge on your credit card account
• Use one of those lower quality, sometimes non-authorized TV dealer sites like joesav.com or tvsuperstores.com to get a lower price to match. Even other nationwide dealers like WalMart or Target can be cheaper on some manufacturer’s sets. Screen capture your entire screen including the date-stamp on the PC.
• Follow the price matching guidelines your credit card company uses
• Wait about two weeks (normally) and get your price match difference
• Wait about three weeks for Dell to send your promo gift card. It is good for 90 days.

You do run a slight risk that these prices will go up after a purchase and before you price match, but you normally have up to 90 days to match the price (check with your credit card company to verify) and prices usually fall during that time-span, not increase.

Important:
Verify your credit card company’s price matching policy prior to purchasing. These are reviewed individually after you submit the request and they do get turned down sometimes. I have heard that Chase is good to deal with, but sometimes Discover can be a pain.

If price matching is successful and you end up using the full amount of your Dell promo gift card within 90 days, you will have saved $467 over purchasing this set from Best Buy. Additionally, you can open a Dell Advantage Rewards account and get an additional 3% good towards future purchases (see details on Dell’s Web site, purchases made with eGift cards do not receive rewards points). Also, your credit card probably has a cash back feature to save an additional 1 ot 2%, but we have left that off of the comparison because you would be saving that percentage either way.
