If you enjoy Starbucks every once in a while – or more than every once in a while – check your American Express account(s) for a Starbucks Amex Offer that will save 15% on your in-store Starbucks purchases up to $5.

The 15% back will be in the form of a statement credit when the enrolled Amex card is used to pay in-store at stand-alone Starbucks locations, paying as you go with the Starbucks app as well as reloading your Starbucks app.

This Offer excludes Starbucks within the following locations: i) retail stores, department stores, supermarkets, malls, outlet malls, ii) hotels, resorts, casinos, convention centers, cruise ships, theme parks, iii) airport terminals, train/bus stations, highway rest-stops, iv) hospitals, military bases, office buildings, and university/college campuses. Wow, that’s a lot of exclusions. Guess they really want you only using it at a stand-alone Starbucks location.

However…

Probably the easiest way to max out this Amex Offer, especially if you frequent Starbucks regularly, is to load $33 to your Starbucks app via the American Express card on which you’ve loaded this Offer. That will get close to the maximum credit of $5.

And you don’t have to worry about whether the Starbucks location you’re buying at is excluded or not.
