Get 10x Ultimate Rewards Points or 10% Cash Back at Best Buy
Chase is really making a push to get shoppers to use Chase Pay!
And with the incentive of 10x Ultimate Rewards points or 10% cash back depending on your preference and Chase credit card used to pay, it’s working…at least for me.
Yesterday it was the Chase Pay/Walmart.com 10x/10% deal that became public. Now Chase Pay is offering a similar deal for purchases at Best Buy!
Best Buy Promo
You can get 10x Ultimate Rewards points, or 10% cash back, at Best Buy when using Chase Pay to make purchases on up to $400 in merchandise.
Which means, if you max this deal out, you could earn 4,000 Ultimate Rewards points or $40 cash back.
With the holiday shopping season just underway, and a wide variety of items to pick from at Best Buy, maxing this deal out might not be too difficult.
And, for those unfamiliar, Best Buy stocks a wide variety of gift cards – Starbucks, eBay, AMC Theaters, Netflix, Southwest Airlines to name just a few – that can easily bump up your total Best Buy bill if you need a little help.
The Chase Pay/Best Buy promotion runs from now through December 24, 2017.
The downside to this promotion? It appears you cannot use Chase Pay to make purchases online at BestBuy.com. You’ll have to download the Chase Pay app and use the app (QR code) to pay at the Best Buy register in-store.

As with the Chase Pay/Walmart.com deal, all Chase Ultimate Rewards earning credit cards will get the 10x UR points/10% cash back when you use Chase Pay at Best Buy (in-store).

Chase Pay
Yes, this promotion – like the Walmart.com promo – does involve a little effort in that you must use Chase Pay to make your payment. If you’re not familiar with Chase Pay, you can find more info here.
Account set up is fairly simple, just download the Chase Pay app to your smartphone and follow the prompts. Or you can log in to your Chase Ultimate Rewards earning credit card account and under the Pay & Transfer dropdown link at the top of the page you’ll see a link for Chase Pay. Select it and you can quickly set up and activate your Chase Pay account.
Obviously, for the Best Buy promo, you’ll then have to download the Chase Pay app anyway. But, it might be easier to set up the Chase Pay account on a tablet/desktop. Your call.
Then, going forward, you’ll just have to enter your Chase account log in info when you pay with Chase Pay.
Wrap Up
The fact that you have to use the Chase Pay app on your smartphone to pay in-store at Best Buy is a bit of a hassle. I like the ease of online shopping and payment. But, to earn a sizable amount of Ultimate Rewards points or cash back, I just might put in the effort.
As a reminder, all Chase Ultimate Rewards earning credit cards will work with this deal, you’ll just have to select which card you’ll use in Chase Pay. And you’ll earn 10x/10% on your Best Buy purchases up to $400.
