Starbucks and Chase Pay are offering a promotion that will add an easy 300 stars to your Starbucks Rewards account.
300 stars are enough for Gold status in the Starbucks Rewards program for new members or those who currently hold Green level status.
Once you hit Gold status, you can redeem the 300 stars for free drinks or food items.
If you’re not a Starbucks Rewards member, you can sign up here.
If you’re already a Starbucks Rewards member with Gold status, you know 300 stars are enough for two free Starbucks food or beverage items (125 stars per free item) with 50 stars left to put toward your next free item!
Additionally, the promotion should requalify Starbucks Rewards members for Gold status for the next 12 months. That aspect of the promotion isn’t confirmed, though.

Starbucks/Chase Pay Promotion
Taking advantage of this promo is fairly easy. The only downside, this promotion may be targeted, so you’ll need to check your Chase Pay app to see if the deal’s waiting for you.
- Open your Chase Pay app
- Activate the Starbucks Promotion
- Make a purchase at Starbucks using the Chase Pay app
- The 300 Starbucks Rewards stars should appear in your account within 5 days.
The offer image above will show on the Chase Pay home screen once you’ve logged in. If you don’t see the Starbucks offer, you likely weren’t targeted.
There have been reports that if you don’t initially see the Starbucks offer, logging out of the Chase Pay app and then back in will get the offer to appear.
Once you click “Activate this offer,” you’ll be taken to the Starbucks app or Starbucks Rewards log in screen to connect the offer to your Starbucks account.
Then, simply use the Chase Pay app to make an in-store purchase at a participating Starbucks and earn the 300 stars. Typically, you’ll have to open the Chase Pay app on your phone and use the QR code to pay.
