Earn Extra United And Alaska Airline Miles with This Shopping Portal Promo
Both United and Alaska airlines are offering bonus miles for shopping done via their shopping portals.
If you’re doing some online shopping in the coming weeks – possibly for Mother’s Day – then why not grab some extra airline miles while you’re at it?
So far, neither American, Southwest nor Delta have announced a bonus miles promo. That may change in the coming days, so be sure to check the individual shopping portal if your preferred airline for earning miles is one of those three.
Now on to the details for the airline shopping portals that are offering bonuses.
United Airlines
The United Airlines promo runs 5/3/2021 through 5/17/2021.

Bonus earnings are:
- 140 miles when you spend $40
- 540 miles when you spend $100
- 1,040 miles when you spend $300
Spend requirement is based on cumulative purchases made during the promotion period. So, you don’t have to spend a specific threshold amount at one retailer at one time. Multiple purchases at different retailers will count toward the spend requirement.
And, United’s shopping portal is the only one that provides in-store offers that will count toward the minimum spend amount.
Be aware, the total spend amount does not include shipping, handling and taxes. Also, there are a few other restrictions of which to be aware…they can be found in the fine print at the bottom of the shopping portal page.
Alaska Airlines
The Alaska Airlines promo runs 5/3/21 through 5/12/21.

Bonus earnings are:
- 500 miles when you spend $50
- 1,000 miles when you spend $300
As with all of these airline shopping portal promotions, the tier level spend requirements are based on cumulative purchases made during the bonus period. Multiple purchases between May 3 and May 12 will all count toward meeting a tier level spend amount.
Keep the qualifying purchases definition in mind – shipping, handling and taxes do not count towards spend amounts – as you shop toward a tier level.

If you’ve got some online shopping to do over the next few weeks, take this opportunity to add to your airline miles balance(s).
The lower level amounts are pretty easy to hit, but if you’ve got some big online purchases to make, adding 1,000+ miles, in addition to the miles you’ll earn from the retailer, will be a nice haul.
