Dunkin’ DD Perks Week
|Dunkin’ (no longer Dunkin’ Donuts thanks to a rebranding effort) is holding a Perks week for members of its loyalty program, DD Perks.
Beginning today, November 13, 2017, and running through this Friday, November 13th, each day will offer a different way to earn extra points toward free Dunkin’ drinks.
The Week’s Deals

Thursday (11/16)

Masterpass
And, my favorite benefit from DD Perks Week, reload your DD Card (account) with Masterpass and get a $5 bonus (for current Perks members only, must load a minimum of $2 to account/card via Masterpass).
Masterpass is a digital wallet system, similar to Visa Checkout and Chase Pay, two other programs we’ve covered in the past. You set up a Masterpass account, link a credit card (or multiple cards) to the account, then click the Masterpass icon – where available – to automatically checkout from a participating retailer.
You’ll likely have to login to your Masterpass account, but other than that, the payment will be automatic.
You can click this Masterpass Digital Wallet link to learn more or set up an account.
Is it worth setting up a Masterpass account to get a free $5 added to your DD Perks account? It all depends on how much you value a free $5 worth of Dunkin’ coffee/food items.
Since I’ve done similar promotions with Visa Checkout and Chase Pay to get a free dollar amount added to my coffee program, I’ll probably do this one as well.
Wrap Up
200 points is enough to get you a free Dunkin’ drink of your choice, so with these daily deals, you can accumulate more than enough points for a free drink or two.
That’s if you don’t mind the mobile ordering aspect. Obviously, this promotion is pushing the mobile ordering program. Which, I’m sure, is because many Perks members have been slow to accept into their coffee-run routine. Myself included.
I like the drive-thru, and just don’t see the benefit of mobile ordering when I’ll still have to wait in line to get my order.
Maybe I’m missing something. If so, I’d love to hear your experience with mobile ordering and why you think it’s a benefit.
And for those who have embraced the mobile ordering program, this Perks Weeks will be an easy way to grab a free latte or two.
