My Thoughts and More Details

Best Western Rewards Points

This deal is a purchase of 10,000 Best Western Rewards Points for $55. Points will be deposited into your rewards account and can be redeemed for free nights (or Best Western Travel Cards) at participating Best Western branded hotels worldwide.

Estimated Value: $100

Purchase Limit: 5

835 Available

I’ve never been a member of the Best Western Rewards program, so I can’t speak to value of award redemptions. However, a quick look at the Best Western Travel Card redemption levels shows for someone without status in the program, 12,000 Best Western Rewards Points would get you a $50 Travel Card (11,000 points for Elite members).

I’ll let you decide whether this is a deal for you.

Omni Hotels & Resorts

There are a total of four Omni Hotel stays up for grabs on Tuesday. Here are the specifics for each.

1-night at Exclusive Omni Hotels & Resorts – You get an email certificate valid for a 1-night stay at select Omni Hotel locations (see the “details” page for the list of properties). Stay must be completed by December 30, 2017.

Price: $235

Estimated Value: $375

Purchase Limit: 1

15 Available

2-nights at Omni’s Premier Hotels & Resorts – You get an email certificate valid for a 2-night stay at select Omni Hotels (see “details” page for listing of properties). Stay must be completed by December 30, 2017.

Price: $335

Estimated Value: $550

Purchase Limit: 1

38 Available

2-night weekend escape at select Omni Hotels – You get an email certificate valid for a 2 night weekend stay at select Omni Hotels (see details page for participating properties). As with the other Omni deals, stay must be completed by December 30 of this year.

Price: $245

Estimated Value: $390

Purchase Limit: 1

41 Available

2-night Omni Hotel Getaway – Purchase gets you an email certificate valid for a 2 night weekend stay at select Omni properties (again, see “details” page for participating properties for this specific deal). Must stay by December 30, 2017 with a Friday or Saturday check-in.

Price: $160

Estimated Value: $250

Purchase Limit: 1

30 Available

As with any hotel deal, whether you’ll be getting a good value depends on the specific property at which you want to stay, and the going rate for the date(s) you plan on booking.

If you have upcoming travel plans, check the details page to see participating properties and then look at the rates during your travel period. If the price of the deal is lower than what you’d otherwise pay, then grab the deal.

A quick example of the 2-night Omni Hotel Getaway Deal:

Deal Price: $160

2-night stay at the Omni San Antonio at the Colonnade June 2-4 (Friday-Sunday) Total Price (room and taxes) $301.22!

So, in this case, the deal really is a deal!

Universal Studios Hollywood Front of Line with 1-day Admission

This deal provides one Front-of-the-line with one-day admission ticket to Universal Studios Hollywood in California.

What does Front-of-the-line mean? You get front of the line access to each attraction (1 time per attraction) and priority seating at each show.

Must use the tickets before April 30, 2018. There are blackout dates, so check the Terms & Conditions page before purchase.

Price: $139

Estimated Value: $200

Purchase Limit: 9 tickets

250 Available

Pricing for the Front-of-the-Line tickets varies by date, but I never saw a price lower than $179/ticket for any date in 2017. Which means, you’d save at least $40, if not more depending on the date you’d go, by purchasing the deal.

Caesars Entertainment Packages

2-nights in at Bally’s Las Vegas – Tickets to any Caesars Entertainment show, Dinner for 2 at a Bally’s restaurant, 2 Buffet of Buffet passes, in-room Champagne and airport transfers. Price: $315 (5 Available)

2-nights at Planet Hollywood Las Vegas – $100 dining credit at Caesars Entertainment restaurants, 2 show tickets to Caesars show, in-room Champagne, airport transfers. Price: $500 (10 Available)

3-nights at Caesars Palace Las Vegas – 2 tickets to Caesars Entertainment show, $200 dining credit at Caesars restaurants, in-room Internet, airport transfers. Price: $1,400 (10 Available)

If you’re looking for a Vegas getaway, any of these may fit the bill. Depends on what extras you want and the level of hotel at which you want to stay.

And if you’re an East coaster, Harrah’s might be the pick for you.

Loews Hotels Deals

2-nights in an Ocean View Suite at Loews Miami Beach – Price: $1,200 (5 Available)

Loews are typically high-end hotels which will offer exceptional service, rooms and amenities. While the prices are high, you’ll likely get a savings over booking yourself…if you’re planning a stay at such a luxury property.

Daily Getaways Ins and Outs

All Daily Getaways deals go on sale at 1:00 pm ET the day they are listed.

I’ve noted the quantities available next to each deal – they’re also listed on an individual deal’s page on the Daily Getaways calendar. For popular deals, they will go quickly, so be ready to click the “Buy Now” button right at 1:00 pm.

Actually, if there is any deal in which you’re interested, just to be safe I’d be ready to buy right at 1:00 pm when the deal opens.

As with anything in life, the details matter, so for deals you’re interested in, be sure to look at the fine print…it’s listed on each individual deal at the Daily Getaways site.

So, scope out the deals that interest you for this week, set your cell phone alarm for 12:50 pm the day of the deal and get ready to buy!

I’ll see you next weekend with my rundown of Week 3 deals.

Until then, here’s hoping you get the travel deal(s) of your choice!
