Cord Cutters – Which Streaming Service is Right for You?

Over the past year or so, we’ve reviewed most of the live Internet TV streaming services that have become available.

These alternatives to traditional cable and satellite TV, while not overtaking the old-school ways of consuming television completely, are making inroads.  And when you have a market that is showing life, more providers will jump on in. Which is what we’re seeing more and more.

It’s getting to be a crowded Internet streaming TV field out there.

If you look at each service, you’ll see there are differences – whether it’s channel offerings, DVR availability or just the overall look, feel, and operation of the individual platforms – that make choosing by price alone a difficult task.

And, unless you’re dedicated to taking the time with each service, it can be a pain narrowing those choices down.

Luckily, The Wall Street Journal has created a streaming service “calculator” that takes a few of your favorite channels, networks and/or shows and matches you with what it determines is the best live-TV streaming service based on your preferences.

Is this the perfect way to find your ideal streaming service match?  Probably not.  However, it is worth giving a try if for no other reason than to narrow the options down a bit.

Rather than subscribing to the free trial of each one, you can give your best two providers a go and see what you think.  Saving you some hassle when it comes time to cancel services before your free trials become a monthly charge.

If you’re thinking about trying streaming Internet TV, give the Journal‘s Calculator a look first to narrow your choices.
