We’re quickly approaching the holiday season, and Amex Offers can be a great way to save on your holiday shopping and gift giving.

In a post titled “American Express Offers – A Great Way to Save” I wrote about the great savings opportunities that can be found just by holding an American Express credit card.

Here are a few recent additions to Amex Offers that could save you some cold, hard cash on your holiday spending and gift giving this season. Offers may be targeted, so check your account for availability.

And always be sure to read the fine print of the individual Offers to make sure you’re not missing some important requirements.

Amex Offers Tip – If your Available Amex Offers are at 100, add some Offers to your card, even if you won’t be using them, additional Offers should then populate in your Available list. It seems 100 Offers is a max that can be shown, opening spots will allow you access to more Offers that may be of interest.

Get 15% back on purchases at U.S. supermarkets, up to $10

We’ll start off with an Amex Offer that’ll save everyone a little bit on their grocery bill this month and next.

Get 15% back as a statement credit when you use your enrolled American Express card in-store or online at U.S. based supermarkets by 12/31/18. There’s a limit of $10 in total statement credits for this Offer, which means it’ll be really easy to max this Offer out with, for many, one trip to the grocery store for a week’s worth of food.

Dining Out During the Holiday Rush

Dining out during the next few months is often the easiest choice when things get hectic. These Amex Offers will save a bit on your dining purchases.

Five Guys – SPEND $20 OR MORE AND GET $5 BACK

Get a one-time $5 statement credit by using your enrolled Amex card to make a single purchase of $20 or more in-restaurant at Five Guys or for online food orders at fiveguys.com by 12/31/18.

Not valid for physical or e-gift card purchases.

Boston Market – SPEND $25 OR MORE AND GET $5 BACK

Get a one-time $5 statement credit when your enrolled card is used to make a single purchase of $25 or more in-restaurant at Boston Market by 12/24/18.

Offer valid in-restaurant, via Boston Market mobile app, and phone orders made directly with the restaurant only.

P.F. Chang’s – SPEND $50 OR MORE AND GET $10 BACK

Get a one-time $10 statement credit by using your enrolled American Express card to spend $50+ in a single transaction in-restaurant at P.F. Chang’s by 12/31/18.

Holiday Gift Giving Options

Von Maur Department Stores – SPEND $100 OR MORE AND GET $20 BACK

Use your enrolled American Express card to spend a minimum of $100 in one or more transactions in-store at Von Maur Department Stores or online at vonmaur.com and get a one-time statement credit of $20.

Offer expires 2/6/19.

Omaha Steaks – SPEND $40 OR MORE AND GET $10 BACK

Get a one-time $10 statement credit by using your enrolled Amex card to spend at least $40 in one or more transactions online at omahasteaks.com/card by 1/15/19.

Harry and David – SPEND $75 OR MORE AND GET $20 BACK

Spend $75 or more using your enrolled card in one or more transactions online at harryanddavid.com and receive a one-time $20 statement credit. Offer expires 12/31/18.

Kansas City Steak Company – SPEND $75 OR MORE AND GET $15 BACK

Get a one-time $15 statement credit by using your enrolled American Express card to spend $75 or more in one or more transactions in-store at the Kansas City Steak Company or online at kansascitysteaks.com. Offer expires 12/31/18.

Sam’s Club – SPEND $15 OR MORE AND GET $5 BACK

This Sam’s Club Offer is not as lucrative as past Sam’s Amex Offers, but will save you $5 when you spend $15 or more in one or more transactions online at samsclub.com. A little bit of savings on your holiday supplies, perhaps.

This Offer expires November 30, 2018, so act fast if you want to redeem. And be sure to check the Offers’ fine print, especially the part about the Offer only being valid for purchases made online.

Newspaper Subscription Deals

These Offers can be used to save on newspaper subscriptions for yourself or to give as a gift this holiday season.

The Wall Street Journal – SPEND $185 OR MORE AND GET $75 BACK

This Offer provides a one-time $75 statement credit when using your enrolled Amex card to make a single purchase of $185 or more online at wsj.com/amex by 4/26/19.

You must purchase via the link above to get the savings. The subscription prices at the link are as follows:

All Access Digital (no paper) 1-year subscription – $187
Classic Print 1-year subscription – $258
Print and Digital 1-year subscription – $270

While none of the subscriptions are inexpensive, the $75 statement credit will make any of the options a little more palatable.

The Washington Post – SPEND $99 OR MORE AND GET $50 BACK

You’ll want to act fast if a subscription to The Washington Post is of interest. The $50 statement credit when a single purchase of $99 or more is made online at subscribe.washingtonpost.com expires November 15, 2018.

There are a variety of print and digital subscriptions from which to pick, most of which will trigger the $50 statement credit.
