Amex Offers – July 2019 – Travel Edition
|In a post titled “American Express Offers – A Great Way to Save” I wrote about the great savings opportunities that can be found just by holding an American Express credit card.
As the summer travel season heats up, here are a few recent additions to Amex Offers that could save you some cold, hard cash on your upcoming travel expenses. Offers may be targeted, so check your account for availability.
And always be sure to read the fine print of the individual Offers to make sure you’re not missing some important requirements.
Amex Offers Tip – If your Available Amex Offers are at 100, add some Offers to your card, even if you won’t be using them, additional Offers should then populate in your Available list. It seems 100 Offers is a max that can be shown, opening spots will allow you access to more Offers that may be of interest.
Rover – Spend $50 or more and get $10 back
Pets are family, but they can’t always join us when we take a vacation.
For those times, a pet sitter – when family and friends aren’t an option – is a great way to go.
Get a one-time $10 statement credit by using your enrolled American Express card to spend a minimum of $50 in one or more transactions online at Rover.com. Offer must be used by 9/10/19.
If you’re not familiar, Rover.com is an online aggregator of individuals who perform various dog-related services. You can search by zip code/address for people who walk, board, have doggie daycares, perform drop-ins, as well as house sit for your pooch. Rover performs background checks and offers insurance on services booked on the site.
If you already have a preferred sitter listed on Rover, all you have to do is book and pay via Rover.com and you’ll get the statement credit when the minimum spend is met.
If you haven’t used the site before, give it, and its listed sitters, a look, you just might find someone who’ll make vacation time a fantastic experience for you and your best friend.
Delta– Spend $200 or more and get $40 back
Don’t get too excited about this Delta Amex Offer. Only select destinations are eligible for the $40 statement credit.
Those destinations are – Boston (BOS), Raleigh-Durham (RDU) and Seattle (SEA).
You can fly from any U.S. airport, but your destination must be one of those three to qualify for this Offer. And, flights must be purchased as non-stop round trip itineraries.
If your flight meets those criteria, then you’ll get a 1 time $40 statement credit when you spend a minimum of $200 in one or more qualifying transactions direct with Delta Air Lines.
Those are a lot of hoops to jump through to save $40. But, if you’ll be flying that itinerary anyway, and the pricing works in Delta’s favor, why not take advantage of the Offer.
Tickets must be purchased by 9/5/2019.
If you’re going to give this Offer a try, definitely read the Offer Terms fine print before purchasing.

The links above are my referral links. I get a points bonus for each approved application. Right now the sign-up bonuses listed above are better than the public offers on the American Express site. That may change depending on when you read this post. Be sure to compare sign-up bonuses prior to applying to ensure you’re getting the best bonus possible.
If you do apply via these referral links, thank you.
