Amex Offers – August 2018
In a post titled “American Express Offers – A Great Way to Save” I wrote about the great savings opportunities that can be found if you are an American Express cardholder.
Here are a few recent additions to Amex Offers that could save you some cold, hard cash on your upcoming travel or purchases. Offers may be targeted, so check your account for availability.
And always be sure to read the fine print of the individual Offers to make sure you’re not missing some important requirements.
Caesars Entertainment Las Vegas – Spend $250 or more and get $50 back
Use your enrolled American Express card to spend $250 or more on room rate and room charges with Caesars Entertainment Las Vegas and receive a one-time $50 statement credit.
The Offer is valid at Caesars Palace, NOBU Hotel at Caesars Palace, Caesars Suites, Bally’s Las Vegas, The Cromwell, Flamingo Las Vegas, Harrah’s Las Vegas, LINQ Hotel & Casino, Paris Las Vegas, Planet Hollywood Resort, and Rio All-Suite Las Vegas. Reservations must be made directly with the above properties via phone or individual website, at caesars.com, or via the mobile app.
Offer is not valid on gift card purchases.
This Offer is valid now through December 15, 2018.
Enterprise, National or Alamo Car Rental – Spend $200 or more and get $20 back
Get a one-time $20 statement credit when you use your enrolled card to spend $200 or more in one or more transactions directly with Enterprise, National or Alamo in the U.S. or U.S. Territories by 9/30/18.
Car rental bookings must be made directly with the above-listed agencies.
1800Flowers.com – Spend $50 or more and get $15 back
Get a one-time $15 statement credit by using your enrolled Amex card to spend $50+ in one or more transactions online at 1800flowers.com by 10/31/2018
This is a fairly regular Amex Offer that used to be extremely lucrative for those with the patience to stack multiple saving/earning deals. It’s lost much of its luster since 1800Flowers cracked down on some of the deal plays over the last year or so.
However, it’s still a nice savings opportunity ($15 off $50) in its own right if you, or a potential gift recipient, enjoy any of the 1800Flowers family of products. Remember, this savings deal can be used on any of the businesses that fall under the 1800Flowers umbrella, including:

And if you stack the deal by first going through a cash back or Miles and Points earning portal to make the purchase, it makes the deal even better.
