Amazon’s Offering FREE Shipping This Holiday Season with No Minimum Purchase Amount

Amazon has announced that it will be offering FREE shipping on most purchases made this holiday season.

Typically you can get free shipping on Amazon when $25 or more is spent on a specific order. Shipping times for this free shipping range 5-8 days.

If you’re an Amazon Prime member, you get free 2-day shipping, with no minimum purchase amount, on most items sold on Amazon.

It’s not clear if this no-minimum-spend free shipping offer will fall into the 5-8 day shipping time period, or the 2-day shipping period offered to those who pay extra for this Prime benefit.

My guess, it will fall into the former so as not to annoy…too much…those who’ve paid for a Prime membership.

Although, if you read the language associated with this shipping deal, the transit time could be even longer considering it states, “…on orders that will arrive in time for the holiday.”

The Amazon Free Shipping Deal

Taking advantage of Amazon’s free holiday shipping offer couldn’t be easier.

Eligible items fulfilled and shipped by Amazon will display “Free Shipping” by the item’s price. Interestingly, there doesn’t seem to be a restriction on the free shipping benefit only applying to items “shipped and sold by Amazon.” Which means pretty much any merchandise on the Amazon site will qualify.

Then, just choose Free Shipping at checkout. And you’re done.

No end date has been released for this free shipping offer. Just the tease “Limited time only” as a way to indicate it’s not a permanent change.

There is no minimum spend amount to meet to get this free shipping benefit.

Still to be answered is how long the shipping time for this free shipping offer will be. This very well may not be something last minute shoppers want to count on if in-time arrival is of importance.
