Amazon Lowers Free Shipping Threshold

Amazon has changed its free shipping policy.  Last year about this time, Amazon raised its threshold for purchase amounts that would qualify for free shipping from $35 to $49.

Amazon recently changed the threshold back to $35.

Per Amazon, “All Amazon orders of $35 or more of eligible items across any product category qualify for FREE shipping.

Orders including $25 or more of eligible books also qualify for FREE shipping.

With free shipping, your order will be delivered 5-8 business days after all your items are available to ship, including pre-order items.”

This is good news in that less expensive items, or combinations of items, will now qualify for Amazon’s free shipping.

So next time we advertise a good deal on a product sold on Amazon, don’t be surprised when the shipping box indicates FREE.
