Amazon Prime Deal and Earn 3x Membership Rewards Points at Amazon

Tomorrow, Friday, November 18, 2016, only, Amazon Prime memberships will be offered for $79 per year, rather than the normal price of $99 per year.
Unfortunately, this special pricing is for new memberships only, current members can’t renew at the discounted price.
The special pricing coincides with the premier of Amazon’s original program, The Grand Tour, which can be viewed only on Amazon Video.
I’m not sure this program is enough to lure Prime sign-ups alone, but the many benefits associated with a Prime membership just might be.
A few of the Prime membership benefits include:
• Free two-day shipping on many Amazon items, and Free same-day shipping in certain areas.
• Prime Video – stream thousands of movies and TV shows at no additional cost.
• Prime Music – stream a variety of music, all included with membership.
• As well as a number of other benefits, free with your Prime membership
The Prime membership promotion will run from 12:00 a.m. ET Friday until 11:59 p.m. PT. So if you’re interested in trying Amazon Prime for a discounted price, Friday, November 18th is your chance.

3x American Express Membership Rewards points at Amazon.com
If you are going to purchase the discounted Amazon Prime membership, you’ll want to take advantage of this (targeted) Amex Offer and receive 3 Membership Rewards points per dollar spent on all Amazon purchases through December 31, 2016.
Of course, that’s if you have a Membership Rewards earning American Express card in your credit card arsenal.
As with any Amex Offer, you’ll have to check your account to see if it’s listed in your Amex Offers.
If so, add it to your card and any purchases made with that card at Amazon.com through the end of the year will earn you 3x Membership Rewards points per dollar spent. Not a bad deal.
Just remember to add it to your American Express card before using the card to purchase the discounted Prime membership!
Maybe More Points Opportunities
While 3x Membership Rewards points is a good deal, we’re still holding out hope that Chase will bring back the 10x Ultimate Rewards points earning on the Freedom card for all Amazon purchases.
The 10x earning opportunity on the Chase Freedom card was announced around this time last year. And, with that in mind, the rumor mill was up and running last month with the tease that 10x would be coming back.
Unfortunately, no word on that promo as of yet from Chase. If we do get notice, we’ll pass it along for all to take advantage.
Until then, 3x Membership Rewards with have to suffice.
