Amazon Prime Day Begins Monday

Amazon Prime Day is scheduled for this coming Monday, July 16, 2018.  The Deals begin at 3:00 p.m. ET (noon PT) and will run through July 17.

Unfortunately, Amazon Prime Day deals are only available to Amazon Prime members.

If you’re not already a member, don’t worry, there are a few ways to take advantage of Prime Day without a year-long commitment.

Amazon Prime Membership

As we wrote yesterday, select American Express card members have been targeted with a free 3-month Prime membership offer, just the ticket for being able to take advantage of Prime Day deals.

If you weren’t targeted, here are a few other was to get in on Prime Day.

If you haven’t signed up for Prime – or you haven’t had an active membership in a while – you can take advantage of the Amazon Prime 30-day free trial.  During the free trial, you’ll still be able to grab Prime Day deals as if you were a regular member.  Then, after Prime Day ends, you can decide if Prime is right for you.  If not, cancel before the 30-day trial ends and you’ll be charged nothing.

Aren’t able to get a Prime trial membership?  You can still pay for one month of Prime and get access to all the deals Prime Day will have.  A one-month membership costs $12.99 and will be charged monthly until canceled.  If Prime Day is your focus, start your monthly membership Sunday, July 15, 2018, and enjoy all the deals associated with Prime Day. Since you’ll have the membership for the next month (approximately), take advantage of the free shipping, Prime Video, Prime Music, etc. and then cancel before the next month’s fee is charged.

Go for the Full Year

And, if you’ve been meaning to get Amazon Prime, and Prime Day is motivating you to start your membership, you can do so for $119 per year.  However, if you purchase your Prime membership by going through Top Cashback, a cash back portal, you’ll receive a $15 Amazon Gift Card, effectively making your annual Prime Membership $104.  Not a bad deal.

Amazon Prime Day

There are a variety of Prime Day countdown deals already being teased on the Amazon site.  You can check them out here.

And then get ready for Prime Day by installing the Amazon Assistant to help you track and grab the Prime Day deals you want.

Expect to see nice discounts on Amazon products such as Kindles, Echos, and Fire TV sticks to name a few.

Non-Amazon electronics will also likely see some sizable discounts.  Think TVs, video games, and smart home appliances.  Everything a techie would love.
