Airline Shopping Portal Bonus Miles Promos for Early March Shopping

There are two different airline shopping portal promotions that online shoppers can take advantage of in the next week or so.

American Airlines is offering 500 bonus AAdvantage miles when you spend $200 or more shopping via the AAdvantage eShopping portal. Purchases must be made by March 13, 2023.

And Delta is offering 1,000 bonus miles when you download the SkyMiles Shopping portal button to your browser and spend $25 via the button/portal by March 12, 2023.

Alaska Airlines is offering the same “button” promotion – earn 1,000 bonus miles when you download the MileagePlan Shopping portal button and spend $25 via the button/portal by March 13, 2023.

Southwest is offering a “Mystery Bonus” for its Rapid Rewards Shopping Portal – 1,000 bonus points after spending $300 or 500 bonus points after spending $100 is typical – but you should act fast since this promo ends March 8, 2023.

At this time, United doesn’t seem to have a promotion for its MileagePlus Shopping portal, but you might give the link a look in case that changes.

Wrap Up

No matter your preferred airline, this is a good way to grab bonus miles for doing nothing more than the shopping you likely were already planning.

Simply click through to your preferred airline shopping portal, find the retailer from which you want to shop, click the Shop Now button and you’ll be taken to the retailer’s website just as if you were shopping like normal…all purchases will be registered as coming from a specific portal, and the appropriate purchase amount will be recorded.

It’s always smart to keep track of your purchase amount/date just in case something doesn’t register correctly with the shopping portal, though.  If you’re making the effort to shop via a particular portal, you want to get the bonus points you’re due.

And, of course, the bonus miles are in addition to the typical miles-per-dollar-spent each retailer offers for making a purchase.

One caution when trying to meet the spend level…each airline portal exempts shipping and handling and taxes from the amounts that are considered “qualifying purchases.”  Only the amount spent on the item(s) purchased will qualify.  This could mean the difference between hitting the bonus level and not should you factor in the amount spent on shipping and taxes.

While not a huge amount of miles, these shopping portal bonuses are a good way to add a little extra to your airline rewards balance if you have some shopping still to do.
