Here are a few recently released deals that just might reduce the amount you pay to fill up your vehicle, as well as earn a nice chunk of United Airlines miles.

Two of the deals are Amex Offers, while the third is a BP/United Airlines miles earning promotion.  Below are the details for each.

Amex Offers

Get 10% Back on Gasoline Purchases at Chevron and Texaco Locations

This first gasoline-purchase Amex Offer provides 10% back as a statement credit when your enrolled American Express card is used to make a purchase, which is paid for at the pump, at U.S. Chevron and Texaco locations.

It’s important to note, you must use your Amex card to pay at the pump to get this deal.

Which means, the 10% statement credit will not trigger for in-store purchases, according to the Offer’s language.

This deal is for gasoline purchases only.

There is a $25 limit for statement credits associated with this Offer.  While not expressly stated, I’m guessing you can use your enrolled Amex card to make multiple gasoline purchases earning the 10% statement credit on each purchase until the $25 mark is hit.

This Offer is good through 12/31/2018.

Spend $2o or More and Get $10 Back at Exxon and Mobil Locations When You Use Speedpass+

This Amex Offer’s a little more complicated than the Chevron/Texaco Offer in that you must use the Exxon Mobil Speedpass+ mobile app to make the fuel purchase.

So, you’ll need to download the Speedpass+ app, set up the account, making sure to add your enrolled American Express credit card as your payment method, and then use the app and the Amex Card to pay for your fuel purchase.

If you do all that, then you’ll receive a $10 statement credit when you spend $20 or more at Exxon Mobil locations.

As with the previous fuel-related Amex Offer, this Offer is only valid on automotive fuel purchases.  Check the Offer’s Terms for more details and restrictions.

The statement credit can be used 2 times before 12/26/2018.

Both of these Amex Offers are “enrollment limited” so add them to your American Express card(s) before they disappear.

BP and United MileagePlus Miles

Earlier this year we wrote about BP partnering with United Airlines to offer MileagePlus miles earnings on every fill-up.

The BP Drivers Rewards program lets customers earn varying miles per gallon depending on fuel grade purchased and if a credit card is linked to the program or not.

When we first wrote about the partnership and program, it was offering a 200-mile sign-up bonus after your first gas purchase using a linked credit card.

That offer is back, but has been sweetened a bit with an added 800-mile extra bonus for United Visa cardmembers.

So, customers new to the BP Drivers Rewards/United MileagePlus miles earning program can earn 1,000 United MileagePlus miles if they hold a Chase United Visa credit card.

Important: Customers who’ve already taken advantage of the 200-mile sign-up bonus are not eligible to receive the 800-mile bonus.

This 1,000-mile bonus is a nice deal if you have yet to join the BP Driver Rewards program and currently hold a United Visa credit card.
