Amex Offer: Save 5% on Groceries up to $10
|Check your Amex Offers quickly for this money-saving offer on grocery purchases. Enrollment is limited, so once a pre-determined number of Offers have been added, the Offer will disappear.
With less dining out and more grocery shopping being done due to the coronavirus lockdowns, this is a really nice savings opportunity from American Express.
Granted, it’s not a huge amount, but I’ll take a savings of $10 over not saving at all.
This Amex Offer
Get 5% back as a statement credit when you use your enrolled Amex card to make purchases in-store or online at U.S. supermarkets.
There is a limit of $10 in total statement credits, which equates to $200 in grocery purchases.
The definition of “supermarket” for this Offer is: a standalone merchant in the U.S. primarily selling supermarket products.
So, Kroger, Giant, Giant Eagle, Publix, H.E.B, etc., should all trigger this 5% savings.
Specialty food stores, superstores and warehouse clubs are not considered supermarket stores, though.
So, it’s unlikely that Walmart and Target would trigger the savings…there may be exceptions, though. Let us know in the comments if you’ve received the statement credit as a result of purchases at those retailers.
You can read the full Offer Terms below or on your own Offer should you have it on one of your Amex cards.
This Offer is valid through 8/31/2020, so there’s plenty of time to max out the full $200 in grocery spend and earn the $10 statement credit.
But, add it to your American Express card quickly before it disappears…I’m sure this one will be especially popular.
