Amex Offer: A Trip to Vegas and Lots of Membership Rewards Points
If a Vegas trip is in the plans, you might want to check your American Express account(s).
A recently released Amex Offer is providing targeted cardholders with 10,000 Membership Rewards points when $500 or more is spent at select MGM Resorts in Las Vegas.
The Offer specifically states: Get 10,000 additional Membership Rewards points one-time by using your enrolled Card to spend $500+ on room rate and room charges, when you pay for your stay with select MGM Resorts Destinations in Las Vegas from 10/1/2019 to 1/5/2020.
Offer valid at Bellagio®, ARIA®, Vdara®, MGM Grand® Las Vegas, The Signature at MGM Grand®, Mandalay Bay® , Delano® Las Vegas, Park MGM®, NoMad® Las Vegas, and The Mirage® in the US.
Reservations must be made directly through MGM Resorts online at mlife.com, by phone, or via mobile app.
Excludes all other MGM Resorts destinations.

MGM Resorts and Hyatt
Another great aspect of this Offer – MGM is a partner of my favorite hotel chain, Hyatt, and stays at MGM properties will earn World of Hyatt points!
Just make sure your World of Hyatt loyalty account number is associated with your MGM reservation to earn the points.
And, if you hold any status with the World of Hyatt loyalty program (just holding a Chase Hyatt credit card provides Discoverist status) then you can match that status level to MGM’s M Life Rewards program. Status matching info can be found here.
Depending on your dates of travel, it might not be too hard to hit that $500 minimum on this Offer just on room rate itself. Remember, Las Vegas has some of the highest “resort fees” of any location, running close to $50 per night.
If you are able to find a bargain on room rates, just charge your drinks and meals to the room and you should have no problem hitting $500+ and earning the 10,000 Membership Rewards points.
And, don’t forget, earning Hyatt points, too!
