10 Free Trials you need to Try
|Companies are willing to let you try their product or service in attempt to get you to pay once the trial is complete. This gives you an opportunity to get something for nothing as long as you pay attention to the details of the offer. Most “free” trials come with at least some strings attached. Most companies will require a credit card at sign up. Usually your card will be charged when the free trial is over.
Make sure you are aware exactly how to cancel your service before signing up for the free preview, companies will usually make it somewhat difficult.
Set your calendar as a reminder to make sure you cancel the free trial on-time. They will probably not remind you that you are ready to be charged. This tactic works, so you can see why they want to use it.
Look at who is making the free offer. Free trials are great, even with the strings attached. However, some offers are just scams in an attempt to get your personal information. Free software downloads are notorious for attempting to scam customers.
Is it really free? Make sure you aren’t paying a service fee, cancellation fee or shipping, if the shipping charge seems unreasonable.
