Walmart+ Membership Increases Gasoline Savings to Up to $0.10 Per Gallon at Exxon, Mobil, Walmart, & Murphy Stations
|Walmart announced today that its Walmart+ membership will increase its gasoline savings from what used to be $0.05 per gallon up to $0.10 per gallon at member gas stations.
The participating gas stations were and still are:
- Walmart
- Sam’s Club
- Murphy
With this program change, the following stations have been added to the Walmart+ program.
- Exxon
- Mobil
Of course, there is restriction language of which to be aware –
- Fuel discount varies by location & station, subject to change.
You can view the Walmart+ Fuel page for more info and to search for participating gas stations near you at this link.
At this point, it appears all other aspects of the Walmart+ program are staying the same.
You can read our post on Walmart+’s launch and its benefits here.
If you hold an American Express Platinum credit card, you can join Walmart+ for free as one of the card’s benefits.
And, occasionally, certain credit card Offers will provide savings on Walmart purchases…which could include Walmart+ membership fees.
Right now, there’s an Amex Offer for Walmart that provides a $10 savings when you spend $40 or more.
Finally, if you only want to take advantage of the gas station savings for a month, Walmart provides a free 30-day trial of Walmart+ for new members.
If that’s the case, though, I would suggest some other gasoline savings options that will benefit you for a longer period of time.
