Verizon to Offer Customers Disney+ Streaming Service for Free

Verizon has announced it will offer new and existing Verizon Wireless Unlimited customers, new Fios home Internet customers and new 5G home Internet customers one year of the Disney+ streaming service for free.

The new Disney+ streaming service will launch November 12, 2019, at which time qualifying Verizon customers will be able to access all the Disney+ streaming service has to offer.

A few months ago we wrote about a deal that allowed early subscribers to the Disney+ service to save 33% when they subscribed for 3 years.

For those who took advantage of that deal, or any other pre-launch Disney+ service sign-up deal, there’s good news.

According to Verizon, “People who already pre-ordered the Disney+ service are still eligible [for the Verizon free year promo]. The purchase will be put on pause and resume after the Verizon promo period.”

Verizon customers who haven’t signed up for the Disney+ service will have their free subscriptions transitioned to a pay-per-month subscription (to be $6.99/month) after the 12-month free promo period ends.

So, if you’re a current Verizon Wireless Unlimited customer, or plan on subscribing to Verizon’s Fios or 5G home Internet service, then you have a free year of the Disney+ streaming service to enjoy as well.

Although, as with anything, I would encourage you to shop around to see if Verizon’s offerings are competitive with other cell service and Internet providers.

A free year of the Disney+ service – to be priced at $6.99 per month – is not worth locking into a much higher priced cell or Internet plan.
