Verizon, AT&T and Sprint are Offering Apple iPhone 7s for $0 per Month

As Apple is about to announce its latest iPhone offerings, wireless providers Verizon, AT&T and Sprint are attempting to clear the shelves to make room for the incoming stock.

Which is great news for consumers who don’t care if they have the latest and greatest cell phone.

Verizon, AT&T and Sprint are all currently showing the Apple iPhone 7 – 32GB free of charge with a new line activation.

The no payment will continue for variable periods depending on the carrier chosen. If you leave the carrier before the required period ends, the remaining price of the phone will be due.

Verizon

Verizon will apply promo credits to the $449.99 purchase price spread over 24-months, resulting in no per month charges for the phone.

There will be a $20 activation fee.

This deal is only good for phones purchased online, and no trade-in is required.

Verizon phones will be locked for 60 days after purchase. Phones will be unlocked after that 60 days ends.

AT&T

AT&T is also offering the Apple iPhone 7 – 32 GB version for no monthly charge.

AT&T requires a 30-month commitment, over which statement credits will offset any phone charges when purchased on a qualifying installment agreement.

Like the Verizon deal, a new line is required. Additionally, taxes on the full retail price of the phone will be paid upfront.

AT&T charges a $30 new line activation fee.

Sprint

Sprint is offering a no monthly fee deal on the iPhone 7 – 32 GB as well.

Like the Verizon and AT&T deals, you’ll receive monthly credits that will offset the regular monthly charge for the phone.

Sprint isn’t as clear as the other two with regard to the period of time you must maintain Sprint cell service before the phone is paid off.

Nor do they cover the upfront payment of taxes on the phone’s retail price.

But I would guess both are similar to Verizon and AT&T with a 2 to 2.5 year commitment and taxes being paid upfront.

Sprint may waive the $30 activation fee, though.

Wrap Up

I’m going to guess we’re seeing these iPhone 7 deals as a result of today’s Apple new product announcements.

A no-charge iPhone 7, which would normally go for around $15 per month, is a pretty good deal if you don’t care about carrying a slightly outdated phone.

Don’t forget all of these deals require a new line be activated, negating the ability to game the deal, and effectively keeping you tied to a specific carrier for a period of time.

But, if you or someone in your family needs a new line on any of these carriers, this iPhone 7 deal might be for you.

Not sure how long these “free” iPhone 7 deals will last, so act quickly if you’re interested.
