If you’re interested in an AARP membership, the organization is currently offering a deal that might be of interest.
Get a 2 year AARP membership, a free second membership for anyone in your household as well as a free gift (tote bag or Bluetooth speaker) for $20.
A 1 year AARP membership regularly prices at $12.
This promotion requires your membership to be put on automatic renewal (to a credit card). I’m not sure about AARP, but most other subscription-type services have an option for disabling the auto-renew option once your account is activated.

AARP does provide a number of money-saving benefits to its members. When you remember to use them, that is.
Discounts at select restaurants and travel providers for example.

The only question is whether this 2-years-for-$20 membership promo can be used by anyone of any age. Worth a try if you’re interested.
Walgreens Free AARP Membership Promo
For the past few years, Walgreens has partnered with AARP to provide a free 1-year AARP membership with a $15 purchase of select Walgreens brand health & wellness, beauty or personal care products.
As far as I’m aware, this deal is still available.

This deal may, or may not, be better than the 2-years-for-$20 promotion, depending on where you shop and how much effort you’re willing to put in for a free membership.
Just passing it along for all who may be interested. Be aware, though, there’s no guarantee it will continue into 2022.
