Thoughts
The American Express Green Card is a decent travel rewards credit card. It’s not as good as some, but also doesn’t come with the high annual fees many of the better travel cards require.
This increased sign-up bonus and 20% back deal make now a good time to grab this card if you haven’t yet done so.
The 20% back on travel and transit purchases in the first six months will more than make up for the $150 annual fee if you take full advantage.
Add in the CLEAR membership and a couple of LoungeBuddy passes, and the card becomes a money-maker.
And that’s not even counting the 60,000+ Membership Rewards points you’ll earn after spending $3,000.
Just remember American Express’ once-in-a-lifetime sign-up bonus rule. If you’ve received a sign-up bonus for the Green Card before (lifetime usually means the last 5-7 years) you won’t be eligible for this increased bonus offer.
