Target Savings Opportunities for the First Week of December 2020
Target is offering two savings opportunities this first week of December 2020.
The first is a 10% savings on one item one total purchase beginning December 1, followed by a 10% savings on Target gift cards later in the week.
10% Savings on One Total Purchase
Update: Starting December 1, Target Circle Members will be offered 10% off one item one total purchase as long as items are not on the excluded list. This makes this promo a much better deal.
This deal appears to be good on in-store and online purchases.
You’ll likely need to check your Target Circle account to add it prior to use.
As with most promos like this, there will be a long list of exclusions. Those aren’t published yet. Be sure to read them before purchasing. You’ll be able to find them as part of the promo link published Tuesday, December 1.
The 10% off on one item your total purchase will be available through December 12.
This is good if you have a higher-priced purchases you’re planning on making that’re not part of the exclusion list.
Or, at the very least, use it on the biggest sized paper towels or toilet paper packages you can find. Lots of them now that we know the 10% savings is on more than one item.
Again, this won’t show on your Target Circle account, and be available to use, until December 1.
Target Gift Cards Sale
Target is offering 10% off Target GiftCards, December 5 and 6, 2020, only.
This is actually better than past year’s deals where the gift card sales were one day only (see image below).
The “official” terms for this year have now been released.
Highlights include:
- You must be a Target Circle member to purchase (Free to Join)
- Offer valid for up to
$300$500 in gift card purchases - Minimum gift card purchase is $10
- Limit 1 transaction (can purchase multiple GiftCards) up to $500 in Target GiftCards on target.com, in-store at Target or via Target Circle account (app)
You can check the full terms below or at the link above.

This promotion is really more about saving 10% on your Target purchases than buying a gift card as a gift.
Although, if you do want to buy a Target gift card for someone this holiday season, why not save 10% doing so?
More to the point, though, this deal is for regular Target shoppers to get a discount on their everyday Target spend.
Take advantage of this promotion and you can save 10% on your upcoming purchases…like, laundry detergent, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, non-prescription medications, grocery items, whatever…up to $500 worth.
You can buy Target GiftCards online or in-store during the promo period (December 5th and 6th) to receive this 10% discount.
Stack the Deal
If you have a Discover Cashback card, Target.com is one of its 5% Cashback Bonus categories this quarter.
And Chase Freedom/Freedom Flex cards earn 5% cash back on Paypal purchases, which is one of the ways you can pay on Target.com.
Online purchases can be made at the link below.
Unfortunately, purchasing this gift card deal in-store will not trigger either of these credit card deals.
Wrap Up
If you have some Target purchases coming up, especially large ones, these two deals can save you some money.
And if you’re a regular Target shopper, buying the Target GiftCards at a 10% discount is an easy way to save on up to $500 of Target purchases.
