Streaming Subscription Deals for HBO Max and Showtime.com
|Both HBO Max and Showtime.com are offering 6-month subscription deals for their streaming services that’ll save a nice chunk of change.
The HBO Max promotion ends September 26, 2021, while the Showtime.com offer is “for a limited time.” Act fast if either are of interest to you.
HBO Max Deal
HBO Max is offering a 50% off deal on its ad-free version for up to six months.
The HBO Max ad-free version regularly prices at $14.99/month (plus tax), this deal drops the price to $7.49/month for the first six months.
The promo’s terms are:
- Offer valid from September 17, 2021 through September 26, 2021.
- This offer is ONLY for new and returning HBO Max customers. *Sorry current subscribers…maybe cancel?*
- Offer valid in the U.S. only.
- Offer available at HBOMax.com and via the following participating subscription provider platforms: Apple, Google, Roku, LG, Microsoft, Sony, and Vizio.
- Offer may only be redeemed once and cannot be combined with any other promotional or free trial offer for HBO Max.
- Eligible consumers who take advantage of this promotional offer will get access to the HBO Max Ad-Free monthly plan at a discounted rate of $7.49/mo. (plus applicable tax) for the first 6 months.
- You can cancel anytime.
- To sign up, you need a valid method of payment.
- After your discounted 6-month subscription period, your subscription will auto-renew each month at the then-current subscription price for the HBO Max Ad-Free monthly plan (currently $14.99/mo. plus applicable tax), on a recurring basis, unless you cancel before the renewal.
- To cancel your subscription, see Subscription in your settings of HBO Max.
- If you cancel your subscription, you will continue to have access to HBO Max for the remainder of time you have already paid for.
Considering you have access to new-release movies with the ad-free version, this is a pretty good deal.
And, of course, you can cancel at any time if the value’s just not there for you.

Showtime.com Deal
The regular Showtime streaming deal offers first-time subscribers 30-days free.
This deal adds on a 6-month period during which monthly pricing is only $4.99. The regular price for Showtime.com streaming is $10.99 per month.
This promo is for customers who are not current subscribers to Showtime.com. I’m not sure if you can get the free 30 days and the 6-months of discount pricing if you’ve subscribed to Showtime.com in the past, though. One trick that may work for returning subscribers is to create a brand new account using a new email address and credit card.
Additionally, there are reports that previous Showtime.com subscribers can get the 6-months for $4.99 per month pricing deal, just not the initial free 30-days.
As is typical, you can cancel at any time…you don’t have to subscribe to the full 6-months.
And, of course, new subscribers don’t even have to pay for one month if the free 30 days is enough…just cancel prior to the end of the 30-day trial.
This deal requires a Promo Code: MMANUTS
Be sure to enter the code when submitting your payment info/subscribing.

There are also Showtime.com Amex Offers and Chase Offers that may provide a $5 discount when the credit card on which the Offer’s been loaded is used to pay the Showtime.com charge.
The Chase Offer doesn’t have a required spend amount, but check the expiration date if it’s on one of your Chase cards. The Amex Offer, however, requires an $8+ one-time spend, so the $4.99 likely won’t trigger the statement credit. But, if all you have is the Amex Offer, it’s worth a try.
Wrap Up
These are both pretty good deals if you’re looking to subscribe to either streaming service.
Just be aware of the limited time for which each promo is good.
If you know of others who might like these deals, please pass this post along. Thanks!
