For only $4.99 per month (plus tax and fees) – $60 for the first year (plus taxes and fees of around $10 or so) – you’ll get an upgraded plan and a free Amazon Echo Dot on which SiriusXM can be streamed.

• Activation fee is waived

Echo Dot

The Echo Dot is sold by Amazon, which is where you’ll need to redeem the coupon code you’ll receive as part of this promotion. The code will provide the Echo Dot free of charge.

Other details include:

• This offer can only be redeemed once and used for a single device.
• This offer is non-transferable and may not be resold.
• Offer cannot be combined with other discounts or promotions (i.e. no promos stacking).
• Offer limited to one per customer and Amazon account.
• Offer only applies to Echo Dot devices (3rd generation) sold by Amazon.com Services, LLC (look for “sold by Amazon.com” or “sold by Amazon.com Services, LLC” on the product detail page).

The terms state you cannot transfer or resell the Echo Dot coupon code, but that doesn’t mean you couldn’t redeem the deal and then sell the Echo Dot on your own.

Current price for an Echo Dot (3rd Generation) on Amazon is $49.99. Get your free Echo Dot and sell if for $30-$40 and you could cover about half of your 12-month SiriusXM subscription.

Or just keep the free Echo Dot and use it yourself.

SiriusXM and the Credit Card

As with most SiriusXM subscription deals, a credit card is required as a payment method.

This is SiriusXM’s way of ensuring you’ll pay, and continue to pay at the higher rate once the deal ends.

The terms for this promo state:

Your Select subscription will renew every month thereafter and you will be charged according to your chosen payment method at then-current rates (currently $16.99/mo).

If you don’t want to continue the subscription, this just means you must call to cancel.

Cancel

You can cancel at any time. However, anyone who has dealt with SiriusXM knows this can be a time-consuming affair.

Although, reports indicate it’s not too bad during the pandemic as compared to pre-Covid-19 times.

Just be aware you’ll likely have to say “no, thanks, please cancel my subscription,” a number of times before it’ll be done.

If you enjoy the service, you’ll likely get a decent offer to continue your subscription during this call to cancel after your first couple “no thanks.”

Persistence is the key with SiriusXM’s calls to either cancel or get a better deal.

And there are always better deals. Don’t ever pay full price!

SiriusXM, like many businesses during the pandemic, are hurting due to reduced customer usage.

Just think how many people cancelled SiriusXM subscriptions when they were no longer commuting to an office everyday.

$60 (plus taxes and fees) will get you a 12-month subscription to the All Access package and a free Amazon Echo Dot (3rd Gen).

Not too bad if SiriusXM is your thing.
