Unfortunately, as has been the case with previous deals like these, availability for any one card holder is very hit or miss.

If you aren’t targeted, you’ll see the following message: “Thank you for your interest in this offer. Unfortunately, you are not eligible for this invitation-only offer.”

As with any of these credit card deals, Amazon seems to add additional accounts periodically, so check back if the deal’s not on your account initially.

If you still don’t see availability, try the trick below.

Sometimes removing a credit card from your Amazon Wallet, adding it back, re-enrolling it in Shop with Points and checking availability the next day will result in the deal becoming available.  Sometimes not.  But it’s worth a try if this deal is of interest.

Activation links in this post are Amazon affiliate links.  Any purchases made via these links (after activation) would provide Savings Beagle a small commission.  Affiliate links do not change product pricing.

Amazon Purchase Ideas

The requirement that eligible products must be shipped and sold by Amazon may sound restrictive, but it’s actually not.

There are a wide variety of products sold and shipped by Amazon.

If you don’t have a specific purchase in mind for the 20% off deal, here are some suggestions.

Many items that fall into the paper towels, toilet paper, laundry supplies, etc., categories are “sold and shipped by Amazon.com,” and thus would qualify for the discount.

Be sure pricing is better than what you’d pay elsewhere after the 20% discount is taken into consideration.

Below are some other items that may be of interest. I’ve done my best to ensure the linked items are “sold and shipped by Amazon.com,” but please double check before adding to your cart.

Most times you’ll be able to find the “sold/shipped by” language near your “deliver to” address link on the product’s page.

These credit card savings promos used to work on gift card purchases, too. There have been reports that for certain deals that’s no longer the case. You could always load the gift card(s) to your cart, using the steps above to see if the discount is given for a particular gift card purchase.

This can be used, for example, to save on a Netflix gift card that can be loaded to your account, effectively saving you on your Netflix subscription costs.

Or, to save on purchases from any other retailer from which you’ll be purchasing goods or services.

You can see all the gift cards Amazon offers at this link.

Just make sure the specific savings are actually deducted from your total before purchasing any gift cards with these credit cards promo deals!

A Caution

Be VERY CAREFUL to limit the number of points used to pay.

It can be easy to mistakenly use all points in your rewards account to pay, which would lower your price-to-pay significantly, but completely wipe out your valuable rewards points balance.

As we mentioned before, it’s best to use the least amount of points necessary to trigger these types of deals.

So when checking out, be sure you’re NOT using all your points to pay unless that’s what you really want to do.
