Sam’s Club Raised Its Membership Fee This Year, But With This Deal, You Can Effectively Get it for Free
Sam’s Club raised its annual membership fee this year from $45 to $50. Luckily, they’ve brought back the usual membership deal that allows you to effectively get a Sam’s Club membership for free.
The Sam’s Club membership deal below shows an end date of January 31, 2023. Which means you have plenty of time to join for $50 and get $50 off your first in-club purchase…effectively waiving the initial membership fee.
Check for the image below at the top of the deal page to ensure this promotion is still available.
Just make sure you make the qualifying in-club purchase within the first 60 days from signing up, otherwise, you’ll lose the $50 purchase credit.

This deal offers new (see below) Sam’s Club members who join for $50 (plus tax in some places) a $50 Sam’s Club Instant Savings Offer.
The $50 Instant Savings offer will be loaded onto the new membership account within 72 hours of membership activation and is valid for 60 days thereafter.
There is one other limitation to this deal to keep in mind. The $50 Instant Savings offer must be redeemed in a club location. The offer cannot be used on SamsClub.com or with Curbside Pickup.

A few term details –
With regard to the auto-renewal, that is easy to turn off once you have your online membership account set up.
And, “new members” are considered those who have not had a membership in the previous 6 months. You can always have a spouse, significant other, etc. sign-up for this deal and add you to their membership to avoid the 6-month restriction.

Depending on when you read this, check your credit card offers section to see if any Sam’s Club membership statement credit offers are available. In the past, both Chase Offers and Amex Offers have had savings opportunities for Sam’s Club memberships.
As of late-November 2022, I’m not aware of any new credit card offers, though.
Dosh Cash Back

And, finally, you can earn cash back/rewards via a variety of platforms for your Sam’s Club sign-up and ongoing, online spend.

For some shopping portals/cash back sites, you’ll be able to find the same $50 Instant Savings deal to click through which will also provide the cash back/miles/points. That’s not the case for all of them, though. So you may have to pick between shopping portal offerings or the $50 Instant Savings deal in this post.
