PayPal Offering $20 Savings on an Instacart Purchase of $100 or More Through March 24, 2023

If your PayPal account has been targeted, you can save $20 off a purchase of $100 or more when you use PayPal to checkout on Instacart.

This is a one-time savings offer per account.

And the offer must be redeemed by March 24, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. Pacific Time.

You can log in to your PayPal account at this link.

Then select the “Wallet” tab at the top of the PayPal page.

You should see the Instacart $20 icon under the Offers header.

Select the deal image and then click the Use Offer button on the promo pop-up.

After your Instacart purchase of $100 or more is made via the PayPal payment option, you’ll see a $20 credit to the Instacart total. This will show in PayPal, though, not the final total on Instacart.

You may want to check your payment method options in PayPal prior to making the purchase.

For previous offers like this, I have selected a credit card that would earn 9x Ultimate Rewards points at grocery stores, but for some reason PayPal deducted the payment from my linked bank account instead. That’s happened a few times in the past, and I don’t know exactly why.

You can go into certain settings and change payment methods for specific merchants. So, maybe do that prior to making the purchase if you have a preferred payment method you want used.

Deal Terms

Here are the terms associated with this deal – I’ve bolded areas of most importance:

• Eligible Participant: Open only to residents of any one (1) of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia who: (1) are eighteen (18) years of age or older; (2) are holders of a U.S. personal, premier, or business PayPal account in good standing (“Valid Account”); and (3) receive an invitation to participate in the offer (eligibility for/those who receive such an invitation will be determined solely by PayPal and merchant).
• Eligible Purchase(s): Purchases made in USD using the Valid Account that qualified for the Reward at the store identified in this particular offer to you. Eligible Purchases do not include: (1) send/receive money transactions (including those marked as a “Goods and Services” payments), (2) charitable donations, (3) purchases made using PayPal.me; (4) PayPal Cash Mastercard®, PayPal Cashback Mastercard®, PayPal Prepaid Mastercard, PayPal Extras Mastercard®, and PayPal Business Debit Mastercard purchases made using the card directly and not through your PayPal account, or (5) PayPal transaction fees.
• Redemption Period: Starts at 03/17/2023 16:02:02 PST and ends at 03/24/2023 16:02:02 PST.
• Reward: $20 voucher that will be viewable in the “Offers” section of the Eligible Participant’s PayPal account for personal or premier accounts. For business accounts, the Reward will only be visible during checkout and on the purchase transaction receipt(s).
• Redemption Conditions: PayPal offer will be applied to the subtotal amount. Merchandise subtotal amount of $100 or more required and is calculated before sales tax, gift wrap charges, shipping charges, insurance and after any discounts or coupons. Valid while offers last.
• How to Redeem: Once received, the Reward will be applied automatically to the Eligible Participant’s next Eligible Purchase made during the Redemption Period. The Reward must be redeemed during the Redemption Period and may only be redeemed as described in these terms & conditions. Use of the Reward will be reflected on the Eligible Participant’s PayPal receipt and/or in the transaction details of his/her Valid Account.
• Miscellaneous: Redemptions are final, will not be returned, and are subject to review and verification. The Reward has no cash value and cannot be redeemed for cash or withdrawn from the Eligible Participant’s PayPal Account, except in PayPal’s sole discretion. If item(s) purchased using a Reward are returned and the Redemption Period has expired, PayPal will first refund the money spent to the payment method used to complete the Eligible Purchase amount in excess of the money spent (i.e., the value of the Reward) will not be refunded. If the Redemption Period has not expired, the value of the Reward will be returned to the Offers section of the PayPal account and will be available for use by the account holder. PayPal may provide an alternate reward of equal value if it is unable for any reason to fulfill the Reward. If you have it available, this is a pretty easy savings on your next Instacart purchase.

I used it on groceries, but it should work on any retailer on the Instacart platform.

And delivery isn’t required. My purchase was for pickup.

Some pass on Instacart because of the mark up select retailers include on Instacart orders. There are retailers who don’t increase product prices, though – like my grocery store – so if that’s the case for you, this is a nice, easy savings on items you likely were going to buy anyway.
