Panera’s MyPanera+ Coffee Subscription Plan is Free to New Subscribers Through December 31, 2020
The MyPanera+ Coffee subscription plan offered by Panera Bread is free to new subscribers through December 31, 2020.
It was March of this year, PC (Pre-Covid), when Panera launched the MyPanera+ Coffee plan. Its timing couldn’t have been worse. The subscription coffee program likely was reliant on repeat customers coming into the restaurants regularly and making additional purchases while there.
A pandemic quickly made that model difficult, if not obsolete.
But, Panera pushed on, offering free periods of its unlimited coffee plan to new – and sometimes current – subscribers over the past eight months.
And now we’re seeing another attempt to grow its MyPanera+ Coffee subscriber numbers with this free month+ of the plan.
MyPanera+ Coffee Plan
For those not familiar, here’s what the MyPanera+ Coffee plan is.
The MyPanera+ Coffee program offers unlimited coffee for $8.99 + tax per month.
For that monthly fee, you’ll be able to enjoy one cup – any size – of Panera’s hot drip coffee, hot tea and iced coffee every 2 hours, including unlimited free refills of the same beverage.
Cold brew iced coffee, iced tea, as well as espresso and cappuccino beverages, are excluded.
Third-party delivery and catering orders are not part of the program.

Since Covid became such a large part of our existence…especially when it comes to entering and eating in dining establishments, Panera has addressed this issue directly with regard to its coffee subscription program in its FAQs section.
Do I have to physically enter a bakery-café to redeem my coffee subscription? Are there any low or no-contact options for using my subscription?
No. You are not required to physically enter a cafe to enjoy the benefits of your coffee subscription. You can redeem your coffee subscription using any of the ordering methods available at your local bakery-cafe! This means you can redeem your subscription with a Curbside Pick-Up, Drive-Thru, Delivery, or Rapid Pick-Up® order. Restrictions may apply. Check panerabread.com for details on all ordering options. For some, that may alleviate concerns and make the MyPanera+ Coffee program something to consider.

Wrap Up
For $8.99 per month (plus tax), MyPanera+ Coffee members will be able to drink as much hot or iced coffee or tea as they want.
If you frequent Panera regularly for your coffee fix, this is a pretty good deal. It would only take about four coffees a month to hit the subscription price…any coffees over that would be gravy.
But, make sure you actually do purchase Panera coffee enough each month to make this ongoing expense worth it.
Luckily, you can cancel your subscription at any time, so if you find you’re not getting your money’s worth, simply end the subscription prior to the next month’s billing.
