Discovery+ is one of the many “+” streaming options associated with various entertainment channels/platforms.
As with most of these streaming platforms, you’ll get a mix of on-demand content that can also be found on other media in addition to Discovery+-specific content that can only be found on the streaming platform.
Because Discovery+ includes a number of cable channels – HGTV, Food Network, TLC, Travel Channel, Discovery, to name a few – it offers a large amount of content.
The Discovery family of channels, for select programming, has instituted a practice that releases certain series’ new content on the Discovery+ platform only.
Which means, if you really enjoy a certain show/series, and you want to see its new releases, you need to subscribe to Discovery+.
Likely, these episodes will be released to the cable networks after a period of time, but there’s no guarantee. We’ll just have to see how this plays out.
