Increased Sign-Up Bonuses and Free Nights are Being Offered on Amex Hilton Honors Credit Cards Through March 31, 2022

Increased sign-up bonuses, and for select cards a free night, are currently being offered on American Express’ Hilton Honors credit cards.

These increased bonuses and free night offers are good through March 31, 2022.

Here’s a quick overview of each Amex Hilton card and links to application pages. Links are Savings Beagle’s referral links for which we’ll receive a points bonus for each approved application. Thank you if you use our links to apply.

Hilton Honors Family of Cards

The Hilton Honors American Express Surpass Card, the Hilton Honors American Express Card and the Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card all have increased sign-up bonus offers available now through the end of March.

And to spice up the sign-up bonuses, the base Hilton Honors card and the Surpass card are offering a Free Night Award – in addition to the points – when the minimum spend requirement is met.

Savings Beagle’s referral links are currently providing the same sign-up bonus as is publicly offered, with one difference being the spend requirement for the Surpass card (referral – $2,000 public – $3,000)…that may change at any time.  Be sure to check the current sign-up bonus amounts against American Express’ publicly available amounts and go with the better deal.

  • 6 Hilton Honors points per dollar spent at U.S. restaurants and U.S. supermarkets
  • 6 Hilton Honors points per dollar spent at U.S. gas stations
  • 3 Hilton Honors points per dollar spent on all other purchases

Complimentary Hilton Gold Status.  Gold status provides free breakfast during your Hilton stays (some restrictions/exclusions), which is a really nice perk and a money-saver. Although, as a result of Covid, that’s been changed to a daily food and beverage credit based on the type/category of hotel at which you’re staying. Hopefully, the free breakfast perk will return, but I’m not holding my breath.

Annual Fee: $95

Complimentary Priority Pass Select airline lounge membership.

Annual Fee: $450

All of these cards provide access to Amex Offers that can make an annual fee card more than worth the yearly charge and a no annual fee a really nice money-maker.

We do see these levels of sign-up bonuses occasionally throughout a typical year. Although, the addition of a Free Night Award is not as common.  So, aside from the Free Night Award aspect, this isn’t an extraordinary deal.  However, if you’re ready to build your Hilton points now, one of these cards might be a good opportunity. Plus, you’ll get a free night if you go for the base Hilton or Surpass card.

Keep in mind American Express’ once-in-a-lifetime bonus rule, though.  If you’ve received a sign-up bonus for any of these cards in the past, you won’t receive the bonus again.  Although, 7 years does seem to be the cut off point at which you may be able to get a sign-up bonus again.
