General Points
Many of these travel-related Amex Offers run through the end of the year, with a few into early 2021. Check the Offer in which you’re interested for a specific expiration date.
Also, many – if not all – of these Offers require reservations to be made with the specific chain. Usually, the info is in an individual Offer’s Terms section. Reservations made via third-party sites such as Expedia, etc., even if you pay with your Amex card, may not count.
Don’t forget, the spend amounts for most – all? – of these hotel Offers include room rate and room charges. Which means room service, or any other part of your hotel stay charged to your room counts toward the spend amount. It’s not just the rate you’re paying for the hotel room.
Enrollment is limited for many of these Offers, meaning once a certain number of Offers have been loaded to Amex cards, the Offer will be removed from accounts which have not added the Offer. If you think you might use one, add it to your card now.
Be sure to check the Offer Terms of the Amex Offer(s) you’re interested in to ensure you meet all requirements to receive the savings.
Wrap Up
I don’t know if I’ve ever seen so many travel-related Amex Offers at one time.
Unfortunately, it’s not surprising.
The travel industry is hurting…badly.
Which is why we’re seeing these Offers. An attempt to motivate individuals to begin traveling once again.
The money-saving deals are nice, I’m just not sure they’re enough to lure people back into hotels right now in any appreciable numbers.
How about you? Will you be traveling in the coming months? Do these Amex Offers provide motivation?
