Hyatt’s Cardholder Summer Promo Returns – Get 10% of Redeemed Points Back

Hyatt is my favorite hotel chain, and I was glad to see it’s offering a 10% rebate on redeemed points once again this summer.  This seems to be a regular summer promotion for Hyatt at this point and a big plus for Hyatt credit card holders.

To be eligible for the 10% points rebate, you must be a current holder of one of the Hyatt credit cards with an open World of Hyatt account, and register for the promotion (you should have received, or will be receiving a registration email) by July 15, 2019.

All award stays – stays using points, points + cash or for room upgrades – completed between 7/1/19 and  9/2/19 will receive 10% of the points used re-deposited to your World of Hyatt account.

And, as more redemption options are added to the World of Hyatt program, more opportunities for getting points back become available. Points used for Exhale classes and spa therapies as well as FIND experiences will also receive the 10% rebate.

The Terms and Conditions of this promo are stating the 10% bonus points will be loaded to your account 6-8 weeks after the points are redeemed.

Rebated points in past years have been deposited much sooner than the 6-8 weeks that Hyatt was/is stating, though.

That said, I would be wary about making any definitive plans for those 10% points any earlier than the 6-8 weeks that are part of the terms and conditions just in case.

The World of Hyatt Credit Card

Don’t have the World of Hyatt Credit Card yet? You should be able to apply now, earn Hyatt points as a result of the card sign-up (if you don’t have World of Hyatt points already), register for the promotion as a result of being a cardmember by July 15 and enjoy the 10% rebate on your award stay this summer.

The current World of Hyatt Credit Card sign-up bonus is 25,000 points after $3,000 is spent in the first 3 months, and another 25,000 points after an additional $3,000 (total of $6,000) is spent in the first 6 months of cardmembership.

You can read more about the card and its benefits in our post “Review: The World of Hyatt Credit Card,” or on the Chase World of Hyatt Credit Card application page*.

*The application page is a referral page for which we would receive World of Hyatt points for each approved application. You don’t have to use our link, but we appreciate when you do.

Of course, you can also transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points at a 1:1 rate to Hyatt if you have the Chase Sapphire Preferred credit card, the Chase Sapphire Reserve credit card or the Chase Ink Preferred (Business) credit card should the 10% World of Hyatt cardmember rebate not be of interest.
