Pricing for each is as follows:

• HBO Max Ad Free yearly plan at a discounted rate of $104.99 for the first year 
• HBO Max With Ads yearly plan at a discounted rate of $69.99 for the first year

This promotion is for new and returning HBO Max subscribers.

If you’re currently a subscriber, you should be able to cancel your subscription and sign-up again using this promotion. As long as you want to pay for a year upfront, that is.

A few other promo terms include:

• Offers available on hbomax.com and through the following participating subscription providers: Roku, Google Play, Apple and Amazon.
• Offers valid in the U.S. only.
• Offer may be redeemed only once and cannot be combined with any other promotional or free trial offer for HBO Max. 

While the last point states this promo cannot be combined with any other promotional or free trial, the following savings options should work.

Additional HBO Max Savings

If you have an American Express credit card, check your Amex Offers for the HBO Max discount Offer.

This Offer was added a few months ago, but is still available on most accounts, with an expiration date of September 15, 2022.

This Offer, obviously, will only work if you’re subscribing to the ad-free version which prices at $104.99.

Add the Offer to your Amex card, use that card to pay for your ad-free HBO Max annual subscription and your final price after the $25 statement credit will be $79.99 (plus tax, of course).

But, before you actually buy your subscription, be sure to click through a cash back shopping portal first to earn/save even more.

Airline shopping portals are offering decent mileage payouts for HBO Max subscriptions, too.

Right now, the two best cash back portals – Top Cashback and Rakuten – are offering decent cash back deals on annual subscriptions.

Top Cashback is offering $18.90 for ad-free annual plans and $16.80 for ad-supported annual plans.

Rakuten is offering $16 cash back for ad-free plans and $14 for ad-supported annual plans.
